At the heart of Texas, Queensland, you'll find the Stockman Hotel — a proud old pub with a new generation behind the bar and boots on the ground. We're a local family, raising kids and cattle just across the border in Texas, NSW, and pouring our hearts into this little country town on both sides of the river.

We serve classic country meals made with a touch of class, cold beer poured with a smile, and offer takeaway for when you're on the go. Our cosy motel rooms are just out the back, hotel rooms up top and there's always space for big bookings, celebrations, and the kind of connection that keeps people coming back.

Texas might be small — just 900 people or so — but it carries a quiet kind of magic. The kind you only find in towns where everyone knows your name, where the river holds a thousand fishing stories, and where the past still lingers in old buildings and well-worn tracks. There's the Rabbit Freezing Works, the cattle at Whyalla Feedlot, the burnt orange sunsets, motorbikes cruising through one of Australia's first Motorcycle Friendly Towns — and a family pouring our hearts into an old pub, proud to be part of its next chapter.
