Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc. is a not-for-profit environmental organisation and registered charity based in Airlie Beach, dedicated to protecting the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef through hands-on conservation and community engagement.

The organisation offers a unique, land-based tour experience at Eco HQ, designed to educate, inspire, and empower visitors to care for the marine environment. These 1.5-hour guided tours are led by passionate volunteer leaders and take guests behind the scenes of Eco Barge's operations, including:

The Whitsunday Turtle Rescue Centre, where sick and injured marine turtles are cared for

Marine debris recycling facilities, where ocean plastics are repurposed into meaningful products

A hands-on, interactive recycling activity

Insights into the Great Barrier Reef ecosystem and the local impact of marine debris

With a maximum of 20 participants per tour, the experience is personal, impactful, and aligned with Eco Barge's mission to preserve the stunning natural beauty of the region. Visitors gain a deeper understanding of the local environment and how they can contribute to its protection.

Eco HQ Experience

The Eco HQ Experience will be an interactive tour of the Eco Barge Clean Seas Inc. facilities, with the addition of education on the Great Barrier Reef ecosystem, viewing opportunities of the Whitsunday Turtle Rescue Centre and awareness of community efforts with marine debris and recycling in the Whitsundays.
