Perched on the crest of the Great Dividing Range, the timber town of Crows Nest is set among gently rolling hills and centred around a picturesque village green. At its heart lies Centenary Park, home to the statue of Jimmy Crow, a respected local Aboriginal man after whom some believe the town was named. The park itself is award-winning, celebrated for its thoughtful design and innovative underground water catchment system.

Crows Nest's streets are lined with striking heritage buildings that now house antique stores, cosy cafes, galleries, and a local museum, giving the town a welcoming mix of history and creativity. Despite its small size, Crows Nest delivers an impressive historical experience. Within an easy walk of the town centre, you can explore Salts Antiques, the Carbethon Folk Museum which is home to the original Ray White Real Estate office where the business began in 1902, the Regional Art Gallery, and a vibrant community arts and crafts centre.

After exploring the town, stretch your legs along the Applegum Walk, a peaceful stroll beside the creek connecting Bullocky's Rest and Hartmann Park. Nature lovers can then venture just beyond town to Crows Nest National Park. Pack a picnic and enjoy birdwatching and bushwalking trails that wind through towering eucalypt forest. After rainfall, the spectacular Crows Nest Falls come alive, and with a little luck, you may spot a brush-tailed rock wallaby perched among the dramatic granite boulders.
