UMI Arts is excited and honoured to be delivering the 19th annual Big Talk One Fire Festival, and look forward to bringing together our community of First Nations artists, creators, performers, cultural practitioners, and leaders to celebrate culture, arts and music of the vibrant First Nations cultures that have been surviving and thriving for thousands of years in this beautiful and varied landscape we call Far North Queensland.
Big Talk One Fire 2026 will again feature:
Traditional & contemporary dance performances from across FNQ
First Nations art market packed with art, crafts and giftware
Culture, craft & dance workshops
Fun kids activities
Local fave food vans
...all at our beautiful home at the lush Munro Martin Park in Gimuy/Cairns.
Big Talk One Fire is a free, family friendly and inclusive event – everyone is welcome. So bring a blanket, your dancing feet and COME AND JOIN US AROUND THE FIRE!
UMI Arts' Mission is to preserve, strengthen, maintain and celebrate all aspects of Indigenous arts and culture, and Big Talk One Fire is vital to this mission. Come and join them in learning about and celebrating the strength and vibrancy of this region's First Nations people, arts and culture.
