11 September 2026

Explore Cooneana Homestead, built in 1868, by lamplight just as the original inhabitants had to when the sun went down. You may see a ghost in there! Tell them if you do!

Jack Sim will recount some of his historical and sometimes frightening stories of Ipswich so you may need to come with a friend to hold on to!

Bring your camera to capture fantastic photos of flames in the forges as the Cooneana Blacksmiths work.

Delectable jacket potatoes will be on sale with your choice of fillings. Your ticket includes one glass of wine or a soft drink and cheese tasting. No wine will be for sale, but soft drinks will be available for purchase.

Visit the various groups on site and enjoy our historical displays, including Banjo pulling a vehicle. Don't know who Banjo is? Ask our volunteers.

The evening is held during the Ipswich Galvanized Festival. Are you brave enough to come?

Not suitable for children under 12 years.
