Caboolture Regional Environment Education Centre

Discover a relaxed and inclusive day out at the Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre (CREEC), where nature, learning and accessibility come together. Set across 18 hectares along Burpengary Creek, CREEC welcomes visitors of all ages and abilities to explore a diverse landscape of open lawns, shady retreats and gently winding walking tracks.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the site features a fully fenced, all-abilities playground complete with wheelchair-accessible areas, sensory play elements and engaging nature-inspired design. Wide pathways and designated trails make it easier for everyone to enjoy the 1.5 kilometres of scenic walks, showcasing ecosystems such as open grasslands, acacia woodland and endangered lowland riparian rainforest.

Inside the centre, accessible interactive displays, a nocturnal room and a native stingless beehive offer hands-on ways to learn about the unique Moreton Bay environment. Outside, visitors can relax in the sensory garden, enjoy accessible picnic areas and barbecue facilities, or simply unwind in the peaceful surroundings.

Keep an eye out for wildlife, from birds and frogs to koalas in the trees, and learn about conservation efforts supported by volunteers and community programs. With free entry, inclusive facilities and a welcoming café for light refreshments, CREEC provides a space where everyone can connect with nature comfortably and at their own pace.
