BIG4 Lucinda Wanderer's Holiday Park is a nature-lover's tropical beachside caravan park. Birds abound in the numerous palm trees in the village, including black cockatoos and torresian pigeons in summer and stone curlews in winter.
The park is situated on the North Queensland coast, 2 hour's drive north of Townsville, and 3 hour's drive south of Cairns, opposite the southern tip of Hinchinbrook Island.
The Hinchinbrook Channel offers safe boating, fishing, dugong and sea turtle observation, with access from the Lucinda boat ramp (one kilometre), whilst those without a boat have the beach (200m away), estuaries and jetty from which to cast a line, or enjoy long walks.
Winter in North Queensland offers warm sunny days, with endless opportunities in the great outdoors, including natural attractions such as Wallaman Falls, Broadwater State Forest Park, Mount Fox Crater, creeks and waterholes and the Thorsborne Trail, one of the nominated Great Walks of the World, on Hinchinbrook Island.
There are 162 shady sites, a huge well-maintained amenities block, and 14 airconditioned, self-contained cabins which surround two shady swimming pools for refreshing all year swimming.
Activities that are accessible from the village are eco-tours, reef fishing, snorkelling, island visits and walking trails.

Queen Villa Cabin
Fully self contained, air conditioned, ground floor cabins with one Queen bed, bathroom, kitchen and dining with stove top, microwave, bar fridge, and one single bed in the living area. Linen is included, and there is a patio with table and chairs. The Queen Villa's are close to the pools, and include a starter pack of consumables. Internet access is free for guests with their own computer.
Family Bungalow Cabin
Fully self contained, air conditioned, ground floor cabins with one Double bed, bathroom, kitchen/dining with stove top, microwave, bar fridge, and two single beds in the living area. Linen is included, and there is a patio with table and chairs. The Family Bungalow's are close to the pools, and include a starter pack of consumables. Internet access is free for guests with their own computer.
Unpowered Camping Site
Choice of grass or slab sites, and they are all shady and large, able to accommodate boats and vans. The camping area is close to the beach, and internet access is free for guests.
Family Unit
Fully self contained, air conditioned, ground floor cabins with large dormitory style bedroom (double bed and four single beds), bathroom, full kitchen with stove top, convection microwave, full fridge, dining and lounge with sofa bed. Linen is included. The family unit is close to the pools, and includes a starter pack of consumables. Internet access is free for guests with their own computer.
Powered/Unpowered site
The park has large slabs with sullage and some with sewerage, to accommodate the largest of vans and motor homes, shade is available, or some without if you prefer. Seasonal entertainment is offered along with sporting events. Internet access is free for guests with their own computer.
