The Kuranda Visitor Information Centre is located at Centenary Park, Therwine Street, in Kuranda and is staffed by a team of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers.
The Centre stocks information on the rainforest, wildlife, National Parks and Wet Tropics areas around the region as well as a retail space showcasing locally made products and works by local artists.
The Centre offers travel information, maps, and brochures and is also equipped to book tours, and can supply information on local areas as well as the whole Queensland region. Part of the centre houses an interpretive corner showcasing a unique display of Djabugay Artefacts, a touch table, cassowary information and a live spider, reptile and stick insect display. Ask them about Conversations and Yarn-ups with their Indigenous volunteer.
Located opposite the public bus stop from Cairns, with free parking areas for cars and caravans nearby.
