Get in touch

Walkabout Cultural Adventures is a 100% Aboriginal owned and operated cultural tour business based in the Port Douglas Daintree, North Queensland region of Australia, operating for over 20 years.

Providing half and full day tours exploring the local area and focussed around the local Aboriginal connection to country: the only place where two world heritage sites meet, the world heritage listed Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Tours are educational and allow guests to participate and learn about cultural practises and activities in an interpretive and soft adventure experience.

Aboriginal tourism is true ecotourism: traditionally First Nations people have maintained a sustainable and respectful relationship with the environment for thousands of years. Sample some seasonal bush tucker while appreciating the history, culture and traditions. This knowledge once understood, can be applied in everyday life, which for many, is transformational.

In order to provide more personalised tours, they operate each tour with a minimum of 2 passengers and a maximum of 11 passengers and can be booked on a shared or private basis.

With all tours being family friendly and catering to all abilities, please advise any mobility, dietary requirements or allergies as tours can be modified to suit.
