Explore rich, diverse coral gardens that help form these protective ocean walls, filled with hard and soft corals as well as the reef’s most iconic species such as sharks, stingrays, turtles, whales*, groupers and cods, maori wrasse and parrotfish.

All custom designed, Calypso vessels offer the very best in comfort with spacious decks, day-bed style seating, air-conditioned saloons and submerged platforms, extending the width of the vessel, to allow for easy access to and from the water.

Introductory diving and certified diving is available at each of their three sites.

With sheltered, calm conditions, snorkelling Agincourt Reef is not only one of the most unforgettable experiences, it's also one of the most relaxing even for the most inexperienced swimmer. Specialised snorkel tours are included at each site for those eager to see and learn more.

With much of the reef's colour and marine life visible within a couple of metres of the water's surface, snorkelling offers all swimmers, regardless of their skill level, the opportunity to see this diverse eco-system up close.

Giant clams, stingrays, maori wrasse, cods and colourful parrotfish, are just some of the hundreds of species you will encounter during your visit to Opal Reef with Calypso.

Proudly locally owned and operated, Calypso Reef Cruises has dedicated snorkel vessels to visit the outer Great Barrier Reef and with three fantastic sites to explore, you will be busy for hours.

Join a snorkelling experience at a secluded island at the best times of day....early morning and afternoon. Arriving at Low Isles after a 30 minute journey, guests will explore the coral reef and its inhabitants without the crowds.

The comfortable vessel travels to Low Isles with only 23 guests and allows approximately 2.5 hours to snorkel and explore this picturesque coral cay, a similar amount of time as some full day tours have at the island. Snorkel in the calm lagoon or view the reef from the glass bottom boat, Calypso's crew will provide tours for guests to learn and appreciate the incredible Great Barrier Reef. Access to the reef is very easy, either from the back of the vessel or from the beach as the reef hugs close to the island.

With two departures daily, guests can access the island and explore the sandy paths winding through the vegetation. Bird life found here is spectacular, with many sea birds breeding and nesting in the vegetation and on the ground.
