Experience the magic of Kuranda Roots Festival, an iconic reggae, soul, and world music event set in the stunning natural surrounds of Emerald Creek, near Mareeba in Far North Queensland. Now in its 23rd year, Kuranda Roots combines forces with Bushweek Festival to deliver a week-long celebration of music, art, and community from in June.
This family-friendly festival kicks off with an immersive Camp-Out, offering creative workshops, yoga sessions, art and craft activities, and open mic performances, all designed to connect you with nature and community. Then, Kuranda Roots Festival shifts into full festival mode with an eclectic music lineup featuring reggae beats, soulful melodies, and world music rhythms, all celebrating this year’s theme of creative collaboration with spontaneous jams and live performances.
Set within the Kanjini Nature Reserve, the festival encourages a drug and alcohol-free environment, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. While pets are not permitted, guests can enjoy a variety of food and drink vendors, an art gallery, and a craft village, catering to diverse tastes.
Whether you join for the entire week or just the weekend, Kuranda Roots Festival promises a memorable experience of music, culture, and nature.
