The Big Crab is a two metre high crab, located in the town of Miriam Vale on top of the Shell Service Station and Restaurant. The crab was created in 1979 by the owner at the time wanting to promote his crab sandwiches.
Miriam Vale is approximately 66 kilometres south of Gladstone and the Bruce Highway runs straight though.
