Quilpie Visitor Information Centre, Museum and Gallery

Get in touch

When arriving in Quilpie along the Warrego Way, ensure your first stop is at the multi award winning Visitor Information Centre, Museum and Gallery located on the main street.

This accredited Visitor Information Centre offers a one-stop-shop for travel information including maps, brochures and itineraries. Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable locals, the Quilpie Museum, Gallery and Visitor Information Centre can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat.

Access free WI-FI in air-conditioned comfort whilst enjoying a cuppa from the Driver Reviver Station.

The interactive museum displays the rugged history of the early pioneers, and the Shire Gallery hosts an exhibition each month including travelling displays and works by local artists. Each exhibition has an official opening which everyone is welcome to attend. Nibbles and light refreshments are available on the night.

The Centre has an adjoining Military History and Railway Museum, this should be your first stop when arriving in town! Be sure to book in for the Quilpeta Night Show (seasonal) and be greeted by your virtual host 'Q' as she tells the story of Quilpie's history.
