Located in the lush Plantation Park along the Bruce Highway, the Burdekin Visitor Information Centre in Ayr makes for the perfect stop on your road trip or visit in the Burdekin.

Staffed by knowledgeable local volunteers, this Visitor Information Centre offers an extensive range of maps, brochures, flyers and collateral on the Burdekin and surrounding regions as well as expert advice. This Visitor Information Centre is a Driver Reviver site serving free Bushell's coffee or tea and Arnott's biscuits, allowing drivers the chance to stop and revive so they can reach their destination safely.

Whilst at the Visitor Information Centre be sure to check out the Yongala Dive Virtual Reality Experience! You can experience one of the world's most famous dives and learn the history of the S.S. Yongala that sank off the coast of Alva in 1911 in the comfort of the Centre through top quality virtual reality.

The Visitor Information Centre is located next to public toilets, picnic tables, BBQ facilities and the Plantation Nature Play which is a great facility for kids. There is RV and caravan parking available near the Visitor Information Centre for day use only.
