The Council Campground is located, next to the beach; only a five minutes stroll from the Jetty and is managed by the Fitzroy Island Resort. It has approximately 20 tent sites, a very modern and stylish shower block, beachfront barbecues and pergola cover for eating areas. Campers need to supply their own equipment.

Campgrounds:

Fitzroy Island Resort manages the campgrounds on behalf of the Cairns Regional Council. Each tent can only be a maximum of three metres by three metres with two adults and two children per site. Consumption of alcohol, the use of generators and the lighting of fires is not permitted in the campgrounds. They ask that all noise ceases at 10pm each night.
