RedFest: Redland Strawberry Festival

Cleveland, Cleveland, Redland City Area

7 September 2018 -

From bush to bay, Redland City is just 35 minutes from Brisbane and a short one hour drive from the Gold Coast and is described as south-east Queensland's best kept secret.

Redland Strawberry Festival provides a vibrant mix of music, arts and cultural displays, sideshow alley with an abundance of international, national and local entertainment.

For nearly 60 years the locals have gathered together to celebrate, honour and admire the sweet, tasty strawberry. They made jams, wine, scones, salads, smoothies and just about anything else they could think of. They dressed up as strawberries; they held strawberry dances and they even crowned a miss strawberry queen. All to promote the plight of the little red berry that grew on the ground in its hundreds of thousands on the rich red soil.

Still to this day, visitors from across the world come and compete in the World Famous Strawberry Eating Competition and partake of a small bowl of fruit in the fastest time known to man, women and child.

Experience the quintessential Redlands lifestyle by enjoying the relaxed and refreshing atmosphere and the strong indigenous culture.

No where else in the world can you experience what this festival has on offer.
