Join riders and pillions from Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and abroad and dare to be pink. Raising money and enjoying the scenery. Prizes for best dressed and highest sponsored. Barbecue lunch available, 50/50 Raffles, Chinese auction and loads more.
In 2017, the first run saw 25 riders show everyone how powerful the colour pink is and braved the cold morning to meet in Maryborough for the motorcycle run. It was a great day and we managed to raise over AUD1000 for the cause.
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 85 and by 2020 17,210 women are projected to be diagnosed with breast cancer every year. In Australia this is an average of 47 women every day. Breast cancer occurs predominantly in females, although men can also develop the disease, accounting for approximately 1 per cent of cases. There is no 'one disease' that occurs in the breast, rather there are several types and sub-types of disease that may be referred to as breast cancer.
