Dive or Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef with the experts! With more than 30 years experience, a choice of 16 outer reef locations, modern comfortable vessels, and a friendly professional team to look after you, you are in for an exceptional Great Barrier Reef adventure with Tusa Dive.

Your day begins with a cruise to the outer reef on board one of Cairns’ newest reef crafts - Tusa 6, which was custom-built for ultimate comfort and easy access to the water. To ensure plenty of space for all, guest numbers are limited to just 60, although the boat is surveyed for 100. Two new sites are selected each day, as being the best for the day’s conditions. Activities include marine interpretation presentations, guided snorkel tours, introductory diving, and certified diving with up to three dives in the day available.

Snorkelling

Experience the magic of the Great Barrier Reef with Cairns' premier dive company. Each day the high speed luxury dive vessel MV Tusa travels to two new outer reef destinations, selected from Tusa's 16 fabulous sites. Snorkelling is directly from the large platform at the back of the boat and all your expectations will be surpassed as you encounter a vast diversity of marine life and stunning coral gardens. The day includes quality snorkel equipment, wetsuits or lycra suits, guided snorkel tours, Marine interpretation presentations, buffet style lunch, morning and afternoon tea. Tusa Dive is world renowned for their personalised service and highest levels of professionalism.

Introductory Diving

Experience the magic of The Great Barrier Reef with Cairns' premier dive company. With a selection of 16 unique outer reef sites, TUSA will choose the best two sites for the weather conditions of the day. Water level platforms allow you to glide right from of the boat to the reef. If you've never dived before, you can also choose to make your reef trip the ultimate experience and take an Introductory Dive (or two!). No experience required! You will have an experienced instructor by your side, and soon you will be eyeball to eyeball with the fish on the Great Barrier Reef. The day includes quality diving equipment and wetsuits, guided snorkel tours, buffet style lunch, morning and afternoon tea. TUSA Dive are certified as an Advanced Eco Tourism operator and include educational marine talks in your day.

Certified Diver - Full Gear, 2 Dives

Experience the magic of The Great Barrier Reef with Cairns' premier dive company. Each day the high speed luxury dive vessel, T6 takes you to the best two sites for the day's weather conditions, selected from a range of 16 unique sites. You will explore vast coral gardens, walls, caverns and isolated pinnacles, all teeming with amazing marine biodiversity.

The day includes quality dive equipment, wetsuits, and/or lycra suits, guided snorkel tours as well as a Reef talk and presentation, buffet style lunch, morning and afternoon tea. Divers can choose to take two or three dives in the day with optional guided dives. Nitrox fills and three day packages are also available. Tusa Dive is world renowned for their personalised service and highest levels of professionalism.

Cooktown

With bitumen all the way along the 330 kilometre inland Mulligan Highway from Cairns, Cooktown is easy to get to. If you want a more adventurous route, go four wheel-driving along the coastal Bloomfield Track crossing rivers and creeks through World Heritage-listed rainforest and join the highway at the mysterious pile of rocks known as Black Mountain.

Jorgey's Patch Dive Site

Accessible on a day trip from Cairns, Jorgey’s Patch features a variety of terrains for divers to explore, including bommies, ridges, gutters and ledges. In depths between 10 and 25 metres divers will find an abundance of reef fish on this reef, including fusiliers, angelfish, wrasses, anemonefish and rock cods.

Holloways Beach

Gently swaying coconut palms line the golden sandy foreshore at Holloways Beach. Just 10 minutes’ drive north of Cairns in Far North Queensland, Holloways is one of the first of the city’s famous northern beaches.

Wangetti Beach

Local secret Wangetti Beach is just north of Palm Cove in Tropical North Queensland. Running from Slip Cliff Point to Red Cliff Point, the 4km of almost straight coastline has no facilities, with only a carpark on either end of the beach and a stretch of highway connecting them.

In this park, an imposing mountain range of massive granite boulders is home to unique wildlife and rich in Aboriginal culture. Located near Cooktown at the northern end of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, Black Mountain is imposing mountain range of black granite boulders, some the size of houses, stacked seemingly precariously on one another.

Lizard Island

Lizard Island is truly secluded from the rest of the world. With 24 powdery-white beaches and 40 luxurious suites, it is the most northern resort in tropical Queensland and is located directly on the Great Barrier Reef.
