Adventure North Australia operate purpose built four-wheel drive tours to Cooktown, and is North Queensland's leading Indigenous Tour operator. A small dedicated team they offer a wide range of small group, one, two and three day tour packages.

The four wheel drive tours to Cooktown offer diverse and spectacular scenery along the Daintree, Cape Tribulation Coast through the heart of the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park. Travel the four wheel drive only Bloomfield Track, cross rivers and mountain ranges through remote countryside. Have a beer at the Lions Den Pub, one of Queensland's oldest bush pubs before arriving in the unspoilt historical coastal township of Cooktown.

Adventure North Australia offers a unique Aboriginal cultural experience in conjunction with Kuku Yalanji Cultural Habitat Tours and Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre.

On the Daintree Dreaming Day Tour you will learn traditional hunting and gathering techniques which will take you from coast to rainforest, experiencing natural beauty and ancient culture of the Kuku Yalanji Rainforest people of Tropical North Queensland

The Daintree Dreaming day tour combines genuine Aboriginal experiences with the natural beauty of the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park including Mossman Gorge. Cooktown One Day Four Wheel Drive Adventure

Adventure North's Cooktown Four Wheel Drive Adventure showcases the contrasts of Tropical North Queensland's coastal, rainforest and outback landscapes all in one day. Take the scenic Captain Cook Highway along the coast and through the pristine rainforest of the Daintree National Park. Enjoy the rugged landscapes of the Bloomfield Track and visit the mysterious Black Mountain, before reaching Cooktown's Grassy Hill to soak in panoramic views to the Endeavour River and Coral Sea. After free time exploring historical Cooktown, return inland via the outback vistas of the Mulligan Highway and onwards home.

Two Day Cooktown Explorer

Cooktown is one of Australia's exciting new destinations. If you are into history, botany, adventure, getting away from it all, seeing the rainforest and the outback, or four wheel driving then this is the trip for you. Travel through the heart of the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park by four wheel drive as you traverse the famous Bloomfield Track, crossing rivers and mountain ranges.

Visit the infamous Aussie bush pub, the Lions Den Hotel, see the mysterious Black Mountains steeped in Aboriginal legend. Visit Grassy Hill with spectacular 360 degree views of the Coral Sea and Endeavour River.

Stay overnight in the historic township of Cooktown, with the following day free to explore Cooktown or take an optional Aboriginal Rock Art tour with Nugal-warra Elder Willie Gordon. Visit the world class James Cook Museum, take a stroll through one of Australia's oldest Botanic Gardens.

Visit the Cooktown cemetery ,or fish down at the wharf with the locals. There is so much to see and do before returning to Cairns and Port Douglas following the Great Dividing Range, through cattle rich country and the Palmer River Goldfield region, the Outback of Far North Queensland.

One Day Cooktown Drive Fly

You will be collected from your accommodation by their air-conditioned four wheel drive vehicle. Travel north along the Captain Cook Highway, one of Australia's most scenic coastal drives towards the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park, crossing the mighty Daintree River by cable ferry.

You will Journey through this spectacular example of Mother Nature, which contains the highest number of plant and animal species that are rare, or threatened by extinction. Your experienced guide will enlighten your journey with incredible stories and history as you continue on the four wheel drive only Bloomfield Track. This will take you through some of the most amazing scenery in the country, crossing rivers and climbing mountain ranges.

Lunch before visiting the famous Lion's Den Hotel (est. 1875), one of North Queensland's oldest running bush pubs. Continue to the unique geological oddity, Black Mountain, surrounded in mystery and spoken of in ancient Aboriginal legend. Arriving in Cooktown you will have a 360 degree view from Grassy Hill of Cooktown, Endeavour River and the Coral Sea. Have your camera ready! Three Day Cape Tribulation Cooktown Wanderer

Today you will travel north along one of Australia's most scenic coastal route before joining a one hour Daintree river cruise. Ascending the Mount Alexandra Range and pause for a panoramic view of World Heritage Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea. Interpretations of flora and fauna will be given as we search for the elusive, unique Southern Cassowary and other wildlife species. A delicious barbecue lunch before you travel beyond Cape Tribulation along the 4WD Bloomfield Track to pristine Emmagen Creek and time for a swim. At Cape Tribulation Beach there is a little time to swim in the Coral Sea (seasonal) or stroll along the beach and boardwalk to the photographers' platform. Overnight Cape Tribulation
