1770 Liquid Adventures offer guided kayak tours and kayak hire in the picturesque Town of 1770, the birthplace of Queensland.

Join 1770 Liquid Adventures on a fully guided sunset kayak adventure around the spectacular 1770 headland and conservation park. Try your skills at kayak surfing (weather dependant and optional), get up close and personal with dolphins and turtles, visit James Cook's first landing point or just cruise and marvel at the variety of secluded beaches and coves. Enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks while watching one of the spectacular ocean sunsets 1770 is famous for.

Families will enjoy the guided family fun tour in the morning which includes bird and marine life identification for the kids, morning tea and beach games and of course - kayaking!

Enjoy the tranquillity of the mangroves, explore secret canals, learn and hear about mangroves and local history on their eco style 1770 creek explorer tour. Spot a variety of bird life, stingrays, estuarine dolphins and more.

Our Tours

Family Fun Tour

The family fun tour is fun for the whole family! They have double and triple quality kayaks and life jackets.

Starting point is at the 1770 foreshore just past the marina. After gearing everyone up with life jackets, a brief introduction on safety and paddling techniques follows. All kids are given a bird and marine life identification slate to use on the tour.

They then paddle along the shore, feed some fish, explore the mangroves and try to spot some birds and marine life which the kids can identify with their charts. After that they're off to the sandbar for some morning tea, beach games and swimming.

Then it's another paddle back to the beach.

Sunset Tour

Join 1770 Liquid Adventures on a fully guided sunset kayak tour through the magnificent waterways of 1770 and around the Sir Joseph Banks conservation area.

The tour starts at the 1770 foreshore, where you meet to gear up and get some tips on safety and paddling techniques.

Paddle past Captain Cooks landing point, stop at a secluded beach and then onto the headland to spot wild dolphins, turtles and other marine life. Surf some waves (optional and weather depending), or just relax on a secluded beach.

Finish the day by watching one of 1770's famous ocean sunsets while you enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks overlooking Bustard Bay.
