For a trip you will never forget, jump aboard the pink LARC - an amphibious craft that will take you for a ride across deserted sandy beaches and pristine estuaries as you make your way to the isolated Bustard Head Lighthouse located within Eurimbula National Park. This is Queensland's only operating Lighthouse open to the public!

You'll hear the tales of tragedy and triumph as early white settlers and lighthouse keepers struggled to tame this remote wilderness. You will have a guided tour in the light keeper's cottage, now a museum of artefacts and light station memorabilia. You will see some of the prolific wildlife that inhabits the area and you will gasp in awe at the spectacular panoramic view from the balcony of the historic Bustard Head Lighthouse.

And on the way home, you can experience the thrill of sand boarding down the towering dunes of Middle Island. The LARC's (Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo Vessels) are named in honour of Sir Joseph Banks and Dr Daniel Carl Solander, the two eminent botanists who accompanied Lieutenant James Cook aboard the Endeavour on their voyage of discovery. Full day tour includes morning tea, lunch and an Aussie Billy tea.

LARC plus Lunch!

Ride on the iconic pink LARC vessels in the Town of 1770 and have a picnic lunch on the sand.

The two hour LARC plus Lunch! Tour travels along the coastline of Eurimbula National Park and pauses for a picnic lunch amidst the magnificent views of Round Hill Head and Bustard Bay.

Their unique amphibious LARC vessels are an ideal craft to enjoy cool breezes and amazing views whilst the surrounding environment becomes incredibly accessible!

Their experienced skipper will relay details on the history of the area and you will tour the coastline of the Town of 1770, the Birthplace of Queensland.

LARCing sandbar fun, wildlife and birdlife viewing with lunch and refreshments offshore, what a great way to enjoy this tropical paradise!

LARC! Paradise Tour

The LARC! Paradise Tour ventures to the isolated Bustard Head Lighthouse, Queensland's only operating Lighthouse open to the public!

You'll hear the tales of tragedy and triumph as early white settlers and Lighthouse Keepers struggled to tame this remote wilderness. You will have a guided tour in the light-keeper's cottage, now a museum of artefacts and lightstation memorabilia. LARC! Afternoon Cruise

As the sun approaches the horizon signalling the end of another beautiful day, experience the peaceful solitude and changing moods of their tropical paradise, the Town of 1770.

This one hour LARC! cruise takes in the magic of Round Hill Creek, Eurimbula National Park and magnificent views of Round Hill Head and the 1770 coastline. It is the perfect way to experience the delights of the Town of 1770, see birdlife and wildlife in their natural habitats, enjoy the thrill of these unique amphibious LARC! vessels and hear tales of Captain Cook and his crew on the 'Endeavour' when they made landfall in this majestic part of the Queensland coast.

LARC! Afternoon Cruises are offered daily at either 3pm or 4.30pm.

Goolimbil Walkabout

The concept of the Goolimbil Walkabout tour is for guests to have the opportunity to accompany a hunter and gatherer on an expedition through coastal bushland, then into mangrove wetland and onto littoral rainforest where a gathering place is located. This gathering place is home, place or camp in the Aboriginal language – it can also be called a Gunya, and the local Gooreng Gooreng people refer to it as a Waybare. The Waybare provides a traditional place for dreamtime stories, dance and cultural interaction during Goolimbil Walkabout.
