Arrive at your accommodation – Woodspring Farm is a small working cattle farm just out of Inglewood. You'll stay in a self-contained studio cottage with a deck that overlooks a heated pool. Help feed the animals, explore the creeks, build a fire (weather/season permitting) and enjoy the local produce on offer.

DAY TWO: Inglewood

Mode of Travel:

Car, Motorcycle

Route Type:

Circuit

It's farm experience time – call into Leven K Farm to see how Kellie and Matthew grow and process lavender right here in Inglewood. While you're there, call into the Shed Shop and grab yourself a soothing souvenir.

Next stop is Coolmunda Olives. Take a walk through the olive grove and then enjoy the delicious organic produce. Chat with the team and find out what it takes to grow, harvest and make their olive products. Get a 5-million-star view and stay the night in one of their glamping tents.

DAY THREE: Texas

Mode of Travel:

Car, Caravan, Motorcycle

Route Type:

One way

Tobacco was previously a major crop and industry in the Inglewood and Texas regions, but today you can explore its impact at the Inglewood Heritage Centre and Australia Tobacco Museum. They even have full-scale replica tobacco barn and an original share farmer's cottage.

Jump in the car and head to the famous Texas Rabbit Works Museum – an ode to the rabbit industry of yesteryear that kept Texas and its surrounding areas afloat during the Great Depression and drought years. Open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10-2pm and Saturdays 9-3pm.

After stretching your legs and learning about the history of the area, we recommend stopping for lunch at the recently renovated Stockman Hotel. You can't miss its sunny yellow exterior on the main street.

Head west towards Goondiwindi to your next accommodation: Melness Cottage. Melness Cottage is a studio-style cottage located on a working farm 33km out of Goondiwindi and is a lovely place to stay for the ultimate on-farm experience.

DAY FOUR: Melness Cottage - Goondiwindi

Mode of Travel:

4x4, Car, Motorcycle

Route Type:

One way

Enjoy a relaxing cuppa on the veranda of Melness Cottage before heading into Goondiwindi for a Goondiwindi Cotton Tour. The tour shares local knowledge, starting with a town tour before paying a visit to a working cotton farm.

Grab some local produce from Goondiwindi Foodworks – a locally owned family business that prides itself in supplying the community with local produce such as Barambah Dairy, Gooralie Pork, Provenance Flour and Macintyre Brook Olive Oil.

Get behind the wheel and head out into cropping country to see the varieties of crops growing in the paddock – over the summer months you are likely to see sorghum and cotton, while in the cooler months - wheat, barley and oats are most prominent.
