Yellow Cabs has been providing a door to door taxi service since 1924.

Any person, who needs assistance with mobility, can hire one of their specialised vehicles, fitted with a taxi-meter and security cameras, along with its industry trained and experienced driver, to carry them to their desired destination.

The first duty of the Yellow Cab driver is to his/her passengers; their needs, comfort, and safety are the driver’s principal concern. Vehicles selected to become Yellow taxis must be able to meet the rigour of constant high use, remaining safe, comfortable and reliable. These vehicles include: Sedans (one to four passengers), Maxi Taxi (one to 10 passengers), Multi Passengers Taxis (one to six passengers) and Silver Service (one to four passengers). Dual wheelchair access is available upon request.

You can pre-book and pay for for travel, call and ask for a fixed price, hail their services, book online, through the App or simply by calling them.

Our services

Mostly Ford Falcons and Toyota Camrys and Aurions. All are air-conditioned and all operate on metered fare.

Primarily used to transport passengers in wheelchairs. Can carry one wheelchair passenger and eight others or two wheelchair passengers and five others. Also suit group booking up to ten passengers but this attracts an extra AUD11 booking fee.

For that special occasion and only half an hour advance notice is needed. Cars are of a higher standard (for example, Fairlanes, Statesmans, and Mercedes Benz). A booking surcharge applies.

These vehicles are configured to carry up to six passengers. These vehicles have been designed to fill a void between the 4seater traditional taxi and the 10 seater maxi taxi. Perfect for that special occasion for up to six passengers. Pre booked Multi Passenger Taxi’s carry a booking surcharge.

Steve's Bommie Dive Site

Located north of Cairns, Steve’s Bommie is an incredible dive site located at Ribbon Reef No.3. The bommie rises from 30 metres deep up to just five metres below the water, and attracts schools of bigeye trevally, barracuda, yellow-lined snapper, Moses perch, yellow-lined goatfish and many others.
