Blue Dolphin Marine Tours is Hervey Bay’s longest running and only award winning sailing tour operator. They have been offering their tours since July of 1997.

The “Blue Dolphin” is a modern, luxurious and very well appointed sailing catamaran. Launched in May of 2011, she is 11.6 metres long, has plenty of shaded seating areas and wide flat decks. Perfectly suited to their eco-friendly tours.

They offer three different products; the morning Dolphin Tour, the evening Champagne Sunset Sail and their exclusive Full Day Whale Watch allowing guests a choice all year round of a quality tour on the waters of Hervey Bay.

Their tours have been featured on many local and national television programs and they work hard to maintain their quality and professionalism.

Peter’s experience is second to none in the region with over 30 years of experience working with marine mammals. His knowledge and love of the animals and the marine environment ensures that our guests receive a unique experience. Marine life abounds in the region from the little known Australian Humpback dolphins up to the well-known Humpback whales that visit during the Winter months.

Champagne Sunset Sail

Pink Queensland skies, the crystal clear azure waters of Hervey Bay, and a cold glass of bubbles in your hand – it doesn’t get much better than this!

So sit back and relax on their luxury yacht whilst they take you on the cruise of a lifetime, allowing you to soak up the panoramic views of the skyline as the sun sets, casting shadows of amber and gold on the Great Sandy Strait as the warm night invites the stars out to play. A tropical paradise? You bet! It’s the perfect setting for a special evening.

Sailing for 90 minutes around Hervey Bay and Fraser Island, drinks are all-inclusive (champagne, beer, wine, soft drinks) as is a delicious finger food platter for all, allowing you to just relax and unwind. There can be no better way to start the evening!

Slade Point Reserve lies at Lamberts Beach, stretching 73 hectares and conserving one of the last remaining areas of coastal dunes and paperbark wetlands in the Mackay region.

Eimeo Beach is sheltered and picturesque, a popular choice for swimming. During the summer months the beach is patrolled by lifeguards. The soft sand is paralleled by an esplanade park with a children's playground and barbecue facilities, the perfect location for a pretty beachside picnic.

Illawong Beach

A serene and peaceful coastline awaits at Illawong Beach. Kilometres of sandy shoreline as well as off and on dog leash areas make Illawong Beach a popular choice for sunrise strolls. At low tide, the ripples in the sand stretch for kilometres, where small blue soldier crabs can be seen scuttling across the surface.

Pioneer Valley, The

Apart from being one of the richest sugar cane growing areas in Australia, this valley is by far one of the most picturesque in Australia, encompassing many rural townships where warm hospitality and delicious food can be enjoyed.

Walkerston

Walkerston is situated approximately 10 kilometres west of Mackay on the Peak Downs Highway, a small country town with an array of facilities and services, including a supermarket, bakery and pub. A key attraction in the area is the Historic Greenmount Homestead.

Pioneer River, Marian

The Pioneer River, one of the few 'blue water' rivers in Queensland, and its main tributary, Cattle Creek, flow through the heart of the Pioneer Valley, from the Clarke Connors Ranges in the South and West to the Pacific Ocean at Mackay.

Bakers Creek

Bakers Creek is a small town, seven kilometres south of Mackay. The creek itself is home to some of Mackay's best fishing opportunities, however anglers are advised to stay alert as the creek is also home to wild crocodiles.
