Adventure Sailing - ProSail Maxi Whitsundays allows you the opportunity to participate, take the wheel, hoist the sails and grind the winches on some of the most famous yachts in racing history, whilst visiting the very best destinations the Whitsunday's has to offer. They allow plenty of time to snorkel, swim, bushwalk, or visit Whitehaven Beach.

Adventure Sailing - ProSail Maxi has a daily departure from Airlie Beach offering a choice of itineraries and activities to suit the customer's individual needs while sailing amongst the Whitsunday Islands in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Their professional crew will make your holiday memorable with local knowledge of the area and will also look after appetites with sumptuous meals.

Prosail is an owner operated company offering daily departures on one and two adventure yachts and twice weekly departures on their tallship and deluxe cruises. Suiting individuals, couples and groups of any size who want to learn to sail, dive, snorkel, explore or simply relax in the beautiful Whitsundays.

Tallship Sailing 3 Days and 3 Nights, 6 Days and 6 Nights

Australian Tallship Cruises - Explore the Whitsundays aboard this famous Tallship built in Holland in 1902. Solway Lass has an amazing history, serving in the world wars for both sides, and at different stages of her life has served in: Holland, Germany, England, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Fiji and Sydney Harbour. In the 1990s Solway Lass was lovingly restored and today is in exceptional condition, with 11 air-conditioned guest cabins and a licensed bar and saloon. Solway Lass has 11 sails and guests are welcome to help or just relax and take in the unspoilt Island views. This tour is available as a six day and six night Itinerary. Please note the six night option consists of two three day, three night cruises.

2 Day and 1 Night Maxi Sailing Yachts Daily Departures

If you are travelling on a budget, or have limited time, their two day one night sailing adventure aboard a Maxi Racing Yacht may be just for you. Their vessels have been extensively refitted to accommodate up to 22 guests and two crew in open plan accommodation, double or single berths are available. Their vessel Hammer does have a private double with shared bathroom facilities available. There's also a large saloon/dining area downstairs, plus a large fully shaded cockpit on deck.

2 Day and 2 Night Maxi Sailing Yachts Daily Departures

Join Adventure Sailing on one of their two day two night Maxi sailing tours around the Whitsunday Islands. Choose between British Defender, Broomstick, Boomerang or Condor. Vessels are 83 feet long by 20 feet wide. Accommodation is open plan double and single berths. However Condor does have a private double with shared bathroom facilities. If you are up for a good time and would like to meet other travellers, then this tour could be just for you.

3 Day And 2 Night Adventure Sailing Daily Departures

Join one of their three day two night Sailing Adventures around the Whitsundays. Tours are aimed towards 18 to 35s and the young at heart travellers looking for an affordable tour around the Whitsundays. These yachts are maintained in exceptional condition and have been extensively modified downstairs to provide comfort for their guests. Interiors are open plan, with single bunks, and double berths. (Private cabins are available on selected yachts). Bathrooms are share facilities. Large shade awnings are available on deck. Enjoy sailing, Island stops and visit the amazing Whitehaven Beach.

Kynuna was established in the 1860s and in its early days boasted three hotels. It was a staging post for Cobb and Co Coaches. Today Kynuna has just one hotel, the famous Blue Heeler Hotel which was built in 1889.

Mount Surprise

Mount Surprise is a railway town on the Cairns to Forsayth Railway and is the first town within the Gulf Savannah encountered by visitors approaching from the east. It is a centre for gem fossicking, with quantities of topaz, quartz, spinel, garnet, cairngorm and aquamarine to be found.

Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park

Here, Lawn Hill Gorge carves a serpentine ribbon of green through the dry savannah landscape, creating an oasis in the outback.

Duchess

In earlier days Duchess was an important railway and mining town which has declined since the advent of road transport. Today, relive the glory days over a drink or two at the local Duchess Hotel where the beer and stories flow.

Sometimes history is more bizarre than fiction. Forsayth was once paved in gold - in a manner of speaking. Part of the Etheridge Goldfield, this area was known as 'Poor Man's Goldfield' as a prospector did not need expensive equipment to search for gold.
