Reef House Resort and Spa offers beach house ambience and tranquillity. In May 2017, all 67 guestrooms have undergone a refurbishment in a colonial South Pacific style, with bespoke carved bedheads and stunning four poster king beds, digital flat-screen TVs, soft linen armchairs and feature artworks including island shell artefacts, driftwood sculptures and tapestry wall art.

The resort’s signature Brigadier Lounge has been redesigned with bi-fold doors, oversized lounges and hi-top tables, offering guests a tranquil retreat to relax and unwind with a book or enjoy a board game with family and friends. Guests are welcome to help themselves to refreshments throughout the day by using the lounge’s ‘honour system’ or wander down at twilight for a complimentary Brigadier’s Punch with canapés hosted by the resort’s general manager.

Reef House restaurant offers a North Queensland menu with beautiful ocean front views. The Reef House Day Spa offers guests a relaxing range of therapies including nail and make up services, spa products are all Organic Botanicals and Australian made.

Their luxury concierge will assist with all guests’ requests and spoil them with little indulgences. They offer complimentary wi-fi, DVD, bikes, fishing rods and sketching kits.

Brigadier beachfront Spa room

The Brigadier beachfront Spa rooms are located at the front of the resort with ocean views, King bed or twin beds. The private Spa is located inside the room, the balcony or patios have double swing seats.

Brigadier Room

Elegantly designed to capture the charm of the original Brigadier's house, these studio-style rooms feature a balcony or terrace with a romantic double lounge swing, and overlook pools and tropical gardens. Available as double (one King bed) or twin (two Single beds), the bathroom has a shower only.

Verandah Room

These pool or garden view rooms open onto a wide verandah that captures the stylish elegance of tropical living. A spacious open plan room perfect for relaxing with cocktail in hand after a busy day sightseeing. Available as a Double (one King bed) or Twin (two Single beds), there is room for a rollaway bed at an additional cost. A Special Access room is also available on the ground floor with two Single beds or one King bed .

Verandah Spa Room

Perfect for honeymooners or a romantic escape, these spacious rooms are similar to the Verandah Rooms, with the luxurious addition of a private double spa bath on the verandah. Available as a Double (one King Bed) only.

Gayndah War Memorial

The north Burnett town of Gayndah is known for its oranges, and Queensland's most impressive outdoor honour board to war heroes. Harold Wilson, from nearby Cooranga station, privately commissioned the memorial, presenting it to Rawbelle and Gayndah councils in 1921 in honour of the 270 local men who enlisted in WWI.
