Set on 45 hectares on the northern shores of Somerset Dam, the park offers an ideal getaway for families, groups and individuals, and is perfect for watersports enthusiasts, freshwater anglers or those just wanting to relax and unwind amongst nature. Whether you're after water views or a bush setting, a true camping or glamping experience with a little more comfort in their rustic log cabin, Lake Somerset offers something for everyone.

The park offers powered and camping sites, a gorgeous 1940s log cabin, safari tents, modern amenities, electric barbecues, three boat ramps, a sporting oval, canoe hire, and planned onsite activities during peak periods including their famous outdoor cinema on the big screen. Their kiosk stocks a range of general grocery items including ice, firewood, gas refills and more. You can also catch up on emails with the free wireless internet, but don't forget to bring your laptop.

Our Rooms

Safari Tent

Safari Tents are large, permanent, furnished tents that offer camping with a bit more comfort aka 'Glamping'. They are ideal for those who enjoy the camping experience but don't have the time or energy to set up and pull down a traditional tent.

Powered Sites

Lake Somerset is set on 45 hectares, most of which is unmarked camping sites.

For those wanting a little more comfort, there are 12 powered tent sites and 17 new caravan sites which have sullage, mat, water, lovely grass and Foxtel.

Log Cabin

The Rustic Log Cabin overlooks the lake and sleeps up to eight people. It has a full kitchen and bathroom as well as colour television, DVD player and ceiling fans. Outside the cabin is a wood barbecue for al fresco cooking in the hotter months.

Lakeview Villa

Two Bedroom free standing villa with uninterrupted views of the lake. Room configuration is one double bed and two single beds. The Lakeview Villa has a wonderful chefs kitchen to cook up a storm, free WiFi and air-conditioning.

Unpowered Site

Lake Somerset is set on 45 hectares, most of which is unmarked camping sites.
