This magnificent old Queenslander has hoop pine timber floors, high pressed metal ceilings and French doors set into bay windows on the enclosed veranda. All the bedrooms have queen size beds and all are ensuite.

Castle Hill is on their doorstep and the property is located only minutes away from the city and beaches. Day trips to the rainforest, gold fields and Great Barrier Reef are available. Local attractions include golf, museums, environmental parks and casino. A visit to the Billabong Sanctuary, Reef HQ Aquarium or a trip to Magnetic Island is recommended.

Townsville is the host of many events and festivals, such as Townsville V8 Supercars, Australian Festival of Chamber Music, NQ Field days, Magnetic Island Race Week,Townsville Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival, WNBL Townsville Fire, and North Queensland Cowboys.

The Pearl Room is fitted out with a queen size bed, ensuite shower, air-conditioning and table and chairs.

Larger than the other two rooms, the Gold Room has zinc metal pressed ceiling and French doors set into bay windows, ensuite shower.

Mount Molloy

Mount Molloy was named to honour teamster Patrick Molloy who, in the mid 1880s, found the copper outcrop whilst searching for stray bullocks. Four years he worked it as a one man show, then amid murmurs of "claim jumping", it changed hands.

Wreck Bay Dive Site

Wreck Bay is located on the eastern side of Agincourt Reef No.3, off Port Douglas, and is a site that can only be dived when conditions are calm. The remains of an old fishing boat gave this site its name, but with little of the wreck to see divers will have more fun exploring the caves, gutters, ledges and bommies at this fascinating dive site.
