Cave Rock Cottages is bordered by pristine Christmas Creek and surrounded by the ancient escarpments of the Scenic Rim. Bushwalk, birdwatch, swim, fish, or just relax. The three self-contained cottages are private and comfortable with modern appliances, covered verandas, log fires and magic views - touch the wilderness.

Our Rooms

Stinson Spa Cottage has been designed exclusively for couples. This very private, intimate cottage is luxuriously appointed and features a large covered deck; deep double eight jet spa bath in the bedroom, romantic mood lighting, and full timber kitchen and gas barbecue. The cottage overlooks the farm lake and has panoramic views of Neglected Mountain with Cave Rock as a backdrop. There are ceiling fans in bedroom and lounge.

Christmas Creek Cottage

This one bedroom secluded cottage has absolutely stunning views of Christmas Creek and the ancient escarpments of the Scenic Rim. The cottage is ideally suited for couples. From the cottage there is direct access to the creek and secluded natural spa rock pools. The cottage has full kitchen, covered veranda with barbecue, fireplace, laundry facilities, insect screens, ceiling fans and air conditioner.

Westray Cottage is a very comfortable and roomy , self contained 2 bedroom cottage. It has a back veranda that overlooks a garden and down to Christmas Creek. Set amongst the bush and very private, it is perfect for a family to enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the valley. The kitchen is well appointed with all that you could require and there is a barbecue on the back deck. It has air conditioning to keep you cool in the summer and a log fire to keep you warm and cosy in winter. There is also an adjacent outside fire pit for relaxing around at night. This cottage also has laundry facilities for those longer stays and also a carport.

Gordonbrook Dam

Gordonbrook Dam is the sole water supply for Kingaroy and a peaceful spot to unwind. Originally built in 1941 as a water supply for the Royal Australian Air Force Training Base during WWII, the dam wall was raised in 1987 to inundate an area of 229 hectares - the dam we have today.

From the D'Aguilar Highway an unsealed 16 kilometre scenic forest drive leads through rainforest, hoop pine plantations and eucalypt forests containing blackbutt, tallowwood, white mahogany, gums and ironbarks to small flats beside the inviting waters of Emu Creek.

Maclagan

This picturesque little town offers a great opportunity to stop and stock up on groceries and fuel before you head up into the Bunyas - note there are only basic supplies available at The Bunyas general store and no fuel or bottle shop on the mountain.
