Featuring a salt water pool, furnished Balinese Cabana and playground complete with a Mountain Bike service bay and wash area, BIG4 Atherton Woodlands Tourist Park offers a variety of accommodation to suit all requirements, accommodating two to six people. Our Rooms

Ensuite Villa

The Ensuite Villas are the perfect place to sit and watch the visiting birdlife. Reverse cycle air conditioned and modern in design, they are fully self contained with all cooking facilities including benchtop cooktop and microwave, ensuite bathroom including hair dryer and iron. Foxtel is available. These Villas have a separate bedroom with a double bed. Bunks are situated in the lounge/living area which curtain off. All linen is provided on all beds.

Ensuite Cottage

Sleeping up to two people, the Ensuite Cottage is available in either an open plan style or with a separate bedroom. Representing a piece of Far North Queensland's history, the Ensuite Cottages have been lovingly restored with queen beds, reverse cycle air conditioning, cooking facilities, ensuite bathroom including hair dryer and iron. Foxtel is available. All linen is provided. All Cottages have undercover parking and balconies which overlook the pool.

Ensuite Family Villa

The Ensuite Family Villas are perfect for a family or for a couple looking for larger living space whilst travelling. Situated close to the pool and playground these Villas are modern in design with reverse cycle air conditioning and are fully self-contained with all cooking facilities including bench top cook top and microwave, ensuite bathroom including hair dryer and iron. Foxtel is available as is a DVD player. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has one set of bunks. All linen is provided on all beds. These Villas also have a sofa bed available so that the villa may sleep up to six on request.

Powered Sites

Backing onto state forest many of their sites are tucked away so that guests can enjoy a quiet, relaxing holiday experience. Set amongst six acres of award winning gardens their Park is a bird watchers haven with a Park Bird List available from Reception. Guests may enjoy a visit from a small family of bush wallabies who call the Park home and during the wet season you will find a platypus in the creek.

Powered and unpowered sites are available, some with their own picnic tables - all suitable for motorhomes, campervans, tents and caravans.

The Park has well equipped amenities and laundry facilities and a large camp kitchen with plenty of undercover seating and a television.

Free wi-fi is available throughout the Park.

Eco Cabin

Looking for an eco experience then try one of their eco-certified Eco Cabins. Open plan with a queen bed and a single bed, fully self contained, with a breakfast bar and Foxtel, these cabins are unique in that they are solar powered with the solar providing energy for hot water, LED lighting and heat extraction - reducing the need for air-conditioning. The solar is completely stand-alone and feeds a large battery system.

Eco Family Villa

Their Eco Family Villa is the newest 2 bedroom villa in their eco cabin range. The Eco Family Villa has been built from sustainable materials (the deck is made from recycled plastic bottles) with solar panels for water heating, LED lighting and heat extractors, keeping the cabin beautiful and cool during summer.

The Eco Family Villa sleeps up to 4 guests with a queen bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second room. Fully self-contained, it has a fully equipped kitchen and all the facilities, including Foxtel and a spacious balcony overlooking the Park, to ensure your stay is a relaxing one.

For each stay in their Eco Family Villa they make a donation to the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre.

The Lodge

Their eco-certified solar powered Lodge is the largest in their eco cabin range, offering 3 bedroom accommodation, which is perfect for the larger family or couples travelling together. The Lodge sleeps up to 6 guests with a queen bed, a double bed & 2 single beds. Fully self-contained, it has a fully equipped kitchen (with an oven) and all the facilities, including Foxtel, to ensure your stay is a relaxing one. The Lodge is wheelchair enabled, for those guests requiring ease of mobility access and space and a specially designed bathroom.

For each stay in The Lodge we make a donation to the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre.
