Walkabout Creek Adventures is a recreational adventure operator located at the Enoggera Reservoir in Walkabout Creek, The Gap, only 12 kilometres from the heart of Brisbane City.

They offer activities both as hire for clients to explore the reservoir alone, or instructed tours where their qualified staff will teach clients how to correctly operate the equipment and/or give information on the local wildlife and nature in the area.

Being at the base of D'Aguilar National Park, you'll feel like you are miles away from the city and will have the opportunity to experience Australia's nature, with eagles, lungfish, echidnas and koalas among other animals often spotted!

Instructed Kayaking

Take a leisurely paddle into the peaceful Enoggera Reservoir and experience nature from a different angle as our qualified instructors guide you along the way.

All kayaking tours include a safety briefing and life jackets. No experience is required.

Equipment Hire - Kayaks, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Mountain Bikes & Segways

Walkabout Creek Adventures offers a range of hire equipment for use at Walkabout Creek. Kayaks and stand up paddle boards are to be used in the Enoggera Reservoir, mountain bikes can used in the surrounding trails leading into D'Aguilar National Park and the segways are available for hire on the paved pathways around Walkabout Creek.

All hires include a safety brief, introduction to the activity and safety equipment.

Glenlyon Dam is ideal for wildlife viewing and many water sports including skiing, sailing and fishing. Fish species in the dam include Golden Perch, Murray Cod, Silver Perch, Jew and Spangled Perch. Camping sites, cabins and caravans are available at the Glenlyon Dam Tourist Park located at the waters edge.

Storm King Dam

Storm King Dam rests in a picturesque rural setting with many water birds (including pelicans) and is an ideal spot for picnics, water sport and fishing. Fish species include golden perch, murray cod, silver perch, jew and river black fish.
