Introductory Scuba Dive

Enjoy… the weightless experience of exploring the underwater world on the Gold Coast, Australia. A unique opportunity to relax your state of mind, whilst effortlessly improving your health and fitness. Add adventure to every travel destination through the exciting world of scuba diving.

This dive is purely for pleasure and no experience is necessary. You will be accompanied by a certified PADI instructor throughout the whole dive. Besides seeing beautiful and fascinating aquatic creatures first hand, you’ll experience sensations unique to scuba diving, like the thrill of breathing underwater for the first time, and the feeling of floating weightless like an astronaut in space. You will be swimming amongst the Gold Coasts many species of fish having the opportunity to hand feed them.

Snorkelling

For those who wish to stay on top of the water, the Gold Coast's Wave Break Island is a fantastic site for snorkelling. This site is ideal for both the beginner and the advanced as there are over 50 different species of fish with depths ranging from 0 – 15 metres. Many of the fish school in their hundreds and are very people friendly, this provides excellent opportunities for underwater photography and fish feeding. Due to the location there is minimum swell and you are secluded from other boating activities, as well as a beautiful beach to relax on in between exploring what Wave Break has to offer.

Landsborough

Take a step back to yesteryear and imagine yourself in the court of King Louis the XIV with a visit to the Sunshine Coast’s very own giant living hedge maze! Located at Tanawha just 10 minutes’ drive inland from Maroochydore, this impressive outdoor maze has been painstakingly sculptured from over 1000 trees and is the only maze of its kind in Australia.

Mooloolah

Mooloolah, Sunshine Coast Area
Mooloolah is located off the Steve Irwin Way (formerly Glass House Mountains Tourist Drive) via Mooloolah Connection Road with neighbouring communities of Glenview and Palmview being located just off the M1.

Kawana

Kawana, Rockhampton Area
Kawana Waters is home to one of the region’s premier sports and entertainment precincts that includes Stockland Park and the Lake Kawana Community Centre. Both host major events year round. The man-made waterway of Lake Kawana has become popular with a number of sports including kayaking, canoeing, outrigging, dragon boat racing and motorised boats.

Sippy Downs

Sippy Downs, Sunshine Coast Area
Bordered on one side by the beautiful Mooloolah River National Park, and on the other by the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens, Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast is best known for the system of picture-postcard lakes that pepper the area.

Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park

Currimundi Lake (Kathleen McArthur) Conservation Park is a small remnant of wallum heath that covered much of coastal southern Queensland. Thriving on Lake Currimundi’s northern shore, this type of coastal heathland is rich in plant species, which attract birds and insects seeking food and shelter.

Shelly Beach

Caloundra, Sunshine Coast Area
Shelly Beach in Caloundra is one of the Sunshine Coast’s hidden gems. This lovely stretch of oceanfront is unpatrolled and not suitable for swimming meaning you’ll rarely see a crowd on the shore. In fact, you’ll often have the white sands and oceans views all to yourself!

Currimundi

Currimundi, Sunshine Coast Area
Currimundi is located on the northern boundary of the Caloundra area of the Sunshine Coast. It was named by Sir Leslie Wilson, using the local aboriginal name for the area, Garrimundi or Girrimundi, meaning 'Place of flying foxes'.
