Deep Sea Divers Den specialise in Day Trips, Outer Reef Liveaboard Trips, PADI Dive Courses and extended dive expeditions on board the TAKA Ribbon Reef Explorer.

Deep Sea Divers Den has operated from Cairns, Australia for over 40 years, making them the longest established Cairns diving and snorkelling company in the area. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced Diver or Snorkeller, your safety and enjoyment is on the top of their list when you visit the Great Barrier Reef with them.

Our Tours

Snorkel and Dive
Deep Sea Divers Den has a choice of 17 different permanent locations on the Outer Reef from which to choose. Purpose built for diving and snorkelling, ReefQuest allows you to experience the best of the Great Barrier Reef.

Locations include sites on Norman, Saxon and Hastings Reefs which are approximately 60 kilometres off shore. With less than 90 minutes travelling time, you can be assured of a true Outer Reef experience.

Introductory Diving If you have never tried scuba diving before you can experience the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef by joining their experienced dive instructors on an introductory dive. Simply complete and pass a medical questionnaire, listen to a short briefing and you're off to blow bubbles underwater!

Deep Sea Divers Den has been operating since 1974.

It is the longest established dive company in Cairns. They are a PADI Five Star Career Development Centre, which is the highest rating a dive centre can achieve and the first of its kind in Cairns. As such they offer their client's unrivalled service, safety, quality and fun at affordable prices.

With daily departures to their liveaboard vessel, they offer flexible itineraries from one night trips to multiple night trips on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. They have a range of accommodation with different cabin types to cater for passengers with different budget levels.

All spacious accommodation rooms on board our luxury liveaboard vessel OceanQuest offer en-suite facilities, televisions and air conditioning. The vessel has also recently undergone a refurbishment.

Deep Sea Divers Den Liveaboards cater for Snorkellers, Certified and Introductory divers.

No experience is necessary, simply the ability to complete a 200 metre swim and a 10 minute float. Deep Sea Divers Den training facility offers six air conditioned classrooms, dive medical service, heated three metre deep diving pool and retail shop. All courses require a Dive Medical to Australian Standard 4005.1 and can be conducted on the first day of your course (some medical conditions may prevent you from diving, please check with us for more information). Day one and two does not include accommodation.

The TAKA Ribbon Reef Explorer visits the less frequented areas of the Great Barrier Reef giving a truly unique and memorable experience. The Ribbon Reefs run parallel to Australia's coastline and during this expedition you will explore famous Great Barrier Reef dive sites, such as the Cod Hole and Steve's Bommie. The diving just doesn't get any better than this!

The Caves, 25 minutes on the Bruce Highway travelling north of Rockhampton, sounds a rather fascinating place to visit and it is! This is the home of the Capricorn Caves. They are above ground and with wheelchair access, they are popular with all.

Art Gallery, The

Be ready to be awed by what awaits you on this walk in Carnarvon Gorge National Park, as The Art Gallery contains some of the finest Aboriginal rock art in Australia. Just 5.6 kilometres from the trailhead, at the junction of Kamoloo Creek, a signposted access track leaves the main walking trail upstream of crossing number 10, providing a gentle climb to the escarpment base where the site is located.

Torrens Creek

Torrens Creek, Flinders Area
The Torrens Creek, after which this Outback town is named, rises in the Great Dividing range and runs southward to the Thomson River system to eventually run into Lake Eyre. William Landsborough discovered it in 1862 while searching for Burke and Wills.

The Cremer Shipwreck Dive Site - Keswick Island

The Cremer was a 50 metre passenger and cargo ship that was employed in trading with Indonesia, Singapore and China. It ran aground off St Bees Island (nearby Keswick Island) during a major storm in September 1943.
