Our Tours

Cruise Whitsundays operates a 'Resort Connections' service in the Whitsundays. This service connects Great Barrier Reef Airport at Hamilton Island to Airlie Beach.

It also connects Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine through to Hamilton Island, and connections between the islands and the mainland.

The service provides a seamless, hassle free and fast transfer for arriving and departing guests with modern, purpose built vessels.

The ferries are comfortable vessels with air-conditioning, plasma screens providing information on resorts and The Whitsundays, a bar serving real coffee and a full range of drinks and snacks.

Whitsunday Islands and Whitehaven Beach Half Day Cruise

Board their Whitehaven vessel for the scenic cruise to this magnificent beach. Your cruise vessel has expansive seating areas inside and out and your friendly skipper will provide an informative commentary on the history and natural wonders of the area. Sit back and breathe in the sea air, sip a wine or beer and marvel at the 74 island wonders of the Whitsundays, starting with views of Passage Peak and the imposing Pentecost Island.

The waters of Solway Passage lead them to the famous Whitehaven Beach, a definite 'must see' in the Whitsundays. The crystal clear aqua waters and pristine white silica sand stretch for over seven kilometres along Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays. It's Mother Nature at her best - the most photographed beach in Australia and named 'Queensland's Most Beautiful Beach'.

Wander along the beach to your own secluded stretch, laze on the beach or cool off in the azure waters.

Cruise through the magnificent Whitsunday islands to Hamilton Island Resort, the perfect place for a great family day out.

Staff will meet you at the marina and direct you to the Hamilton Explorer shuttle buses. After a short trip over the hill, the fun begins with a visit to the Hamilton Island Wildlife Park. Enjoy a guided tour of the unique Australian sanctuary at 10 am or 4 pm daily or wander at your leisure.

After the wildlife experience board the shuttle bus again and enjoy a circuit of the island stopping off at some of the spectacular scenic lookout points and finishing at the Marina Village. Enjoy a delicious family friendly Fish n' Chip lunch and wander down to the Hamilton Island Resort Centre for an hour of Kegel nine pin bowling.

For the afternoon, you are free to take part in the many activities on offer or just laze by the pool or on Catseye Beach. Walk the waterfront taking in the sights or head in the direction of adventure activities such as Go-karting or an adrenalin pumping jet boat ride.

Reefsleep is the only place in Australia where you can sleep on the Great Barrier Reef! Enjoy two days of unlimited snorkelling, one night at the pontoon and an experience of a lifetime!

Reefsleep is an extension of their popular Great Barrier Reef Adventure Day Cruise. Guests on the Reefsleep experience travel to their Reefworld pontoon onboard their high-speed reef vessel with day cruise passengers. Arrival at the pontoon is around 11am.

Enjoy all the wonderful activities on offer including snorkelling, swimming, semi-sub rides, viewing fish from the underwater observatory and sunbathing on deck. For an additional cost you can also spend your time diving, viewing the reef from above on a scenic helicopter tour or with your feet up, relaxing with an indulgent massage.

Come 3pm, the vessel departs the pontoon and this magnificent part of the world is open to you and your Reefsleep guests to enjoy. The evening dinner is a gourmet barbecue, served with other guests. Study the stars through their telescope or lie back on a lounger and marvel at the night sky.

Great Barrier Reef Adventures

The Great Barrier Reef is truly one of the great wonders of the natural world and a "must-see" for any visitor to the region. Formed millions of years ago, this colourful living reef continues to grow and flourish just off the coast from the Whitsundays. Hundreds of different types of fish and hard and soft coral thrive in the sheltered lagoon.

Discover the underwater wonderland at one of the regions most acclaimed outer Great Barrier Reef sites. They have two pontoons at two different sites and you will visit one site on the day you travel. Their innovative reef pontoons feature an interactive underwater viewing chamber, semi-submersible and a spacious sun deck to lounge on. The colourful corals and abundance of marine life will blow you away as you enjoy sheltered snorkelling and diving all year round.

Hamilton Island Freestyle includes a return ferry to Hamilton Island, a delicious lunch and use of the island shuttle buses. Head off for your day exploring, armed with a Hamilton Island Pocket Guide and map or the Hamilton Island iPhone App.

Hamilton Island has a multitude of activities on offer. Stroll the Marina Village main street, visit the boutiques and galleries or get active and enjoy bowling, target shooting, mini-golf or a go-kart challenge! Visit Wildlife Hamilton Island (additional cost) and get up close and cuddly with a Koala, lounge beside the pools or relax on Catseye Beach - the choice is yours.

Whitehaven Beach Camira Sailing Adventure

At Hamilton Island, jump on a shuttle bus and tour around the island. The driver will tell you tall tales and true of the things you see stopping off at some spectacular scenic lookout points. The shuttles circuit the island all day so hop on and off as you please.

Go walking, bowling, hire a golf buggy or visit the boutiques and galleries. There is a generous choice of swimming pools, including the Main Pool with its swim-up bar or hit the long sandy curve of Catseye Beach for seaside fun. Be sure to visit the Hamilton Island Wildlife Park too!

Enjoy a pub lunch at Marina Tavern or two-course multi choice lunch at Manta Ray Cafe. Right on the waterfront, the colonial-style Marina Tavern has outdoor tables and expansive covered decks.

Whitehaven Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, stretches for a spectacular seven kilometres. The sand is almost 100 per cent silica, which gives it a vivid white colour. Have a swim in azure waters or entertain yourself with beach games in the sand.

First up, test your skill on the Palm Valley Go Kart racetrack. This challenging nine turn track uses the latest in computer controller lap timing allowing you to race your mates and race the clock. There are tandem karts available for families.

After screaming around the race track, experience a 30 minute thrill ride on Jetryder - a hulking jet boat that twists, turns and fishtails with amazing power.

Whitehaven Beach is a definite 'must see' in the Whitsundays. The crystal clear aqua waters and pristine white silica sand stretch for over seven kilometres along Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays. No other day cruise allows you this much time to explore the wonders of Whitehaven Beach!

Enjoy a leisurely cruise along the full length of the beach, across Hill Inlet to a landing point. From here a guided walk following the path and history of the Whitsunday traditional owners, the Ngaro people, will lead you to the lookout and that picture postcard view!

On return to the southern end of Whitehaven you may choose to enjoy the guided walk to Chance Bay and Solway Circuit Lookout, wander along the beach to your own secluded stretch, laze on the beach or cool off in the azure waters.

A picnic lunch in a chiller pack is included for you to enjoy at your leisure. It includes a tasty wrap, fruit, a cookie, yoghurt and a bottle of water. Afternoon tea is included on the cruise back from Whitehaven Beach.

Located one kilometre east of Moura on the Dawson Highway, the 150th Meridian marker shows the position of the imaginary line (150 °E) on which Queensland (Eastern Standard) time is based. At the time of the equinox, a day is exactly 12 hours long anywhere on the Meridian line.

Goovigen

Goovigen is a small rural village in the region’s northern farming heartland. A short distance north-west of Jambin off the Burnett Highway, fewer than 300 people live in the town. The streets of Goovigen are as neat as a pin and the heritage buildings have been either restored to their former glory or updated for present needs.

Duaringa

Duaringa, Central Highlands Area
Duaringa is located 107 kilometres west of Rockhampton along the Capricorn Highway. The small town is the essence of a small rural community. Duaringa is the oldest township in Duaringa Shire with buildings dating back to the 1860s and a corner of the local hotel has been preserved to show how early pioneers lived.

Year-round, Isla Gorge is amazing. Each season and even at different times of the day, the park offers outstanding experiences with the land covered in thick evergreen foliage and a backdrop of coloured cliffs and gorges that put on quite a display as the sunlight shifts throughout the day.

Dululu

The northern most town in the Banana region, Dululu is a junction point that divides the two southern arterials, Burnett Highway (A3) to the east and the Leichhardt Highway (A5) to the west. Both highways reveal untold adventures and this rural village is the start of them all – a launching pad to the region and perfect place to stop, rest and make your touring plans.

Jambin

Jambin, Banana Area
A rural hub with a pub to service weary travellers, Jambin is on the Burnett Highway just south of Smoky Creek. Part of the Callide Valley, the town is wedged between the Callide Creek to the west and the highway to the east, making it a picturesque spot to stop.

Theodore

Theodore, Banana Area
Theodore is located on the Dawson River 105 kilometres south west of Biloela. From its earliest days, Theodore was a stopping point for travellers and the same is true today. A pretty place, Theodore is shaped like a point between the Dawson River and Castle Creek, its palm lined streets give a tropical feel to the place.

Baralaba

Old fashioned values and friendly townsfolk are the hallmarks of Baralaba. Those traits and a stubborn streak for sticking around. More than a century of economic upheaval has threatened the town on many an occasion, but Baralaba locals are a stoic lot.
