This wondrous area has been forged by ancient volcanoes more than 23 million years ago and encompasses the world's oldest subtropical rainforests. Come on an 8.8km return hike with our expert guides and be amazed at how truly stunning this part of the world is. Whilst winding our way up the mountain, we will walk through a variety of vegetation communities, inclusive of subtropical and temperate rainforest, wet sclerophyll forest and heath shrubland. Your guide will provide you with detailed information about these vegetation communities. The climb ends with a challenging rock scramble before reaching the summit. Your guide will provide you with support and advice on conquering this challenging part of the climb. This experience culminates in breathtaking 360 degree views around the ancient caldera with coastal views stretching from Byron Bay to the Gold Coast.
