Just minutes from brilliant beaches at Agnes Waters, a kaleidoscope of butterflies and brilliantly coloured fungi are waiting to be discovered in this lush coastal environment.

Governors Chair lookout track, Main Range National Park

Perched high on the edge of a cliff face, this large rock was reportedly a popular resting spot for early Queensland governors when their journeys took them through Spicers Gap. Originally known as Governors Rock, the name changed to Governors Chair in 1854 in honour of Sir Charles Fitzroy—the then Governor-General of the Australian colony.

Eagleby Wetlands

The Eagleby Wetlands Conservation Reserves comprise a cluster of wetland reserves in a suburban/rural matrix on the floodplain of the Logan and Albert Rivers. The Eagleby Wetlands Conservation Reserves are made up of a total of 10 reserves covering an area of 45 hectares.

Kondalilla Falls Circuit, Kondalilla National Park

Explore this beautiful walking track that leads from Kondalilla Falls down the escarpment into a lush rainforested valley then climbs up the ridge again to return. From the Kondalilla Falls car park, walk 100-metres downhill (with steps) to a large grassed picnic area with barbecues, picnic tables and toilets.

Curtis Falls track, Tamborine National Park

Enjoy an enchanting walk through wet eucalypt forest beneath towering flooded gums and into cool and lush rainforest. Look for the beautiful crows nest and staghorn ferns in the canopy, and stop to marvel at the intricate strangler fig.

Brown Lake Conservation Park

Stage one of this multi-purpose path to Brown Lake, North Stradbroke Island, was funded by SRQ in 2003. Brown Lake (or Lake Bummiera) is a perched freshwater lake bounded by melaleuca and tea-tree bushland.
