Delve into the heartland of this ancient landscape on this full-day hike between Green Mountains and Binna Burra. Boasting stunning scenery and spectacular views, the Border track is the backbone of the national park and part of the longer Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk.

Walk the full length of the track, or spin off onto the network of other walks and circuits. You’ll feel miles from anywhere as you hike through subtropical and temperate rainforests, into lush gullies and valleys, over crystal mountain streams, past stunning waterfalls, and along prominent ridge lines.

This park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, famed for its ongoing geological processes, evolutionary history, and diversity (especially of rare, threatened and endemic species).

Border track, Lamington National Park

This walk is managed by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. The map only shows an indicative start point; the track route and end point are not shown, and the map cannot be used for navigation purposes. Divers exploring The Oasis at Milln Reef, off Cairns, have a choice of exploring coral gardens in the shallows or a series of bommies in deeper water. The bommies are quite spectacular, rising from 20 to 30 metres and coloured by beautiful whip corals, soft corals and gorgonians.

Wreck Bay Dive Site

Wreck Bay is located on the eastern side of Agincourt Reef No.3, off Port Douglas, and is a site that can only be dived when conditions are calm. The remains of an old fishing boat gave this site its name, but with little of the wreck to see divers will have more fun exploring the caves, gutters, ledges and bommies at this fascinating dive site.
