Whitsunday Escape invites you to experience the natural beauty of the Whitsunday Islands located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.

Whitsunday Escape has been specialising in Skipper Yourself 'Bareboat' Charters for over 30 years and their modern fleet of over 35 vessels includes Power Cruisers, Power Catamarans, Sailing Catamarans and Sailing Yachts. The fleet is conveniently located at Abell Point Marina, Airlie Beach and is the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands.

All vessels come fully equipped for extended cruising in the tropics. They include linen, a fully equipped galley, gas barbecue, refrigeration, stereo with auxiliary connection/CD player/AM-FM radio, television with DVD player, cockpit shade and cabin fans, electric anchor winch and a rigid inflatable dinghy.

A five night minimum applies to most charters. Departures and arrivals from Hamilton Island or any other Island resort can be catered for.

No formal boating qualifications are required to charter with Whitsunday Escape. However, to ensure a safe, happy holiday you should have some basic sailing and/or boating experience (navigation and anchoring), or they can provide a sail guide.

Sailing Catamaran – Leopard 48

The Leopard 48 Sailing Catamaran can sleep up to eleven. She has three double cabins, three bathrooms, two single bunks amidship and one small bunk located in the forward cabin. The saloon table can also convert to another double.

She features an upstairs galley, generous refrigeration space, great ventilation and a shaded rear cockpit. She also features the innovative new design of the walk-through forward cockpit which adds a second outdoor shaded entertaining area.

Suitable for large groups, couples or families.

Sailing Catamaran – Salina 48

The Salina 48 Sailing Catamaran is one of the largest catamaran in the fleet and performs very well under sail. With four double cabins, four bathrooms and four small single bunks (two attached to the front cabins and two amidships) she can sleep up to 12.

The upstairs galley, the generous refrigeration space and the large covered cockpit makes for very comfortable offshore sailing.

Suitable for mixed groups, couples and families.

Sailing Catamaran – Leopard 46

The Leopard 46 Sailing Catamaran can accommodate up to to eleven. She has four double cabins, four bathrooms, a small single bunk located in the forward cabin and the saloon table can convert to another double.

She offers ample headroom, generous refrigeration space, good ventilation and a spacious shaded cockpit.

Sailing Catamaran – Leopard 44

The Leopard 44 Sailing Catamaran can sleep up to eleven. She has three double cabins, two single bunks amidship, a small single is located in the forward cabin and the saloon table converts to another double. She also has three generous sized bathrooms.

She features an upstairs galley, ample refrigeration, a large shaded cockpit and also has a walk-through forward shaded cockpit for a second outdoor entertainment area.

Sailing Catamaran – Leopard 43

The Leopard 43 sailing catamaran was purpose built for cruising tropical waters and is very popular with overseas charter fleets. It can sleep up to 12.
Four double cabins with their own large bathrooms, the saloon will accommodate another double and two additional small adult berths are available in the forward cabins.

The ample head room, the generous refrigeration space, the upstairs galley and large fully covered cockpit makes for very comfortable cruising.

Sailing Catamaran – Lagoon 421

This Lagoon 421 Sailing Catamaran sleeps up to ten. There are four double cabins and the saloon will accommodate another double. All cabins feature their own bathroom and have great ventilation.

There are four bathrooms, ample head room, generous refrigeration space, and a roomy shaded cockpit.

A fantastic Sailing Catamaran built for sailing in the Whitsundays and is suitable for up to four couples, families and mixed groups.

Sailing Catamaran – Leopard 42

The Leopard 42 Sailing Catamaran sleeps up to twelve. There are four double cabins and the saloon will accommodate another double. Two child berths are available in the forward cabins. There are four bathrooms, ample head room and generous refrigeration.

Great ventilation with plenty of hatches. She will also perform equally well as a power catamaran. The Leopard 42 is ideal for cruising Queensland tropical waters and was purpose built for charter.

Sailing Catamaran – Seawind 1250

The Seawind 1250 sailing catamaran was purpose built for cruising to suit those that want the best. She sleeps up to nine with three double cabins, two bathrooms, the saloon will accommodate another double and a small single is located in one of the forward cabins.

The ample head room, generous refrigeration space, and roomy covered cockpit that opens onto the saloon makes for very comfortable cruising. Air-conditioning is available at the marina.

Sailing Catamaran – Seawind 1200

This sailing catamaran sleeps up to eight. There are four double cabins, two large bathrooms, ample headroom and good refrigeration space.

She will perform equally well under power alone.

Great for two to four couples, large families and mixed groups.

The Leopard 40.1 Sailing Catamaran can sleep up to ten. She has four double cabins, two smaller bunks located in the forward cabins and the saloon table converts to another double and offer two spacious bathrooms.

She offers a large shaded cockpit, excellent ventilation and a walk-through door which give access from the saloon directly to the front deck.

The Nautitech Open 40 Sailing Catamaran can sleep up to ten people. She has four double cabins, two smaller single beds located in the forward cabins and 2 spacious bathrooms.

The Tasman 35 sailing catamaran is comfortable and economical, sleeping up to eight guests. Three double cabins and two bathrooms, the saloon table drops down to make another a double. The forward cabins are double beds, the aft cabin a slightly smaller three-quarter double. A small child bunk is also available in one of the forward cabins.

Ample headroom, generous refrigeration space and plenty of hatches. She has twin steering and all lines led to the cockpit which makes for easy sailing.

Suitable for mixed groups, families or one to two couples.

The Grainger 40 Sailing Catamaran sleeps up to six people. She has two spacious double cabins, a slightly smaller 3/4 double cabin and two bathrooms.

She offers a large saloon, good ventilation and a shaded cockpit.

Sailing Catamaran – Seawind 1000XL

The Seawind 1000XL Sailing Catamaran sleeps up to eight. There are four cabins, and the saloon will accommodate another double. There is a spacious bathroom and shower and generous refrigeration.

The main cockpit offers spacious and comfortable outdoor living with plenty of hatches for ventilation. Her powerful rig offers good tunnel clearance. Two out-boards are fitted for ease in manoeuvring.

Great for two to three couples, singles and large families.

Sailing Yacht – Jeanneau 50

The Jeanneau DS50 sleeps up to 10, in four double cabins. The saloon will accommodate another double. There are three bathrooms and a great galley with generous refrigeration space.

The Jeanneau DS50 deck cockpit has twin wheel performance and offers great accommodation. She comes with every option available including a bow thruster and an on-board generator for air-conditioning. Sailing Yacht – Jeanneau 49i

The Jeanneau 49i is a large spacious boat suitable for up to eight. She features four bathrooms and four double cabins, with generous refrigeration space, a large shaded cockpit and plenty of hatches for good ventilation.

The Catalina 35 mkII accommodates up to five. The aft cabin has a large queen bed, the forward cabin is a generous double, and the saloon will accommodate a single. There is one large bathroom.

She has plenty of hatches for ventilation. Excellent freezer and refrigeration space and all the extras make for a comfortable bareboat holiday. Easy sailing as all the lines are led to the cockpit.

The Leopard 47 Power Catamaran sleeps up to eleven. She has four double cabins, four bathrooms and the saloon will accommodate another double and the forward port cabin has a small single bed.

Power Catamaran – Venturer 38

This Seawind Venturer Power Catamaran sleeps up to eight. There are three private double cabins, and the saloon converts to another double. There is ample head room, generous refrigeration space, and an extra large bathroom.

Features plenty of hatches with forced ventilation and a polished timber interior. High tunnel clearance means comfortable off-shore cruising. Great for two to three couples or families.
