Their Handmade Expo Markets are proud to promote local artisans and businesses in their quest to provide their region with quality hand made products. You can find so much at their market - including jewellery – leather, wooden, silver, paper, gemstone, polymer clay, resin, kid's and women's clothing, handbags, wallets, stubby coolers, rugs and mats, cupcakes, cookies, slices and cakes, glassware, home decor, furniture, preserves, sauces and confectionery, plants, plush toys and hobby horses, pottery, soaps, candles, lotions, soy melts, greeting cards, paper art and journals, hair accessories and gift lines, children's wooden toys and artwork .... and the list goes on

Along with plenty of unique and high quality stalls, music, there are workshops, giveaways, entertainment, seating and food.

On site free parking is available.

Cheepie is the friendly 'ghost town' of the Outback. The township formed when the railway first came through in 1914 and gradually grew to have a police station, blacksmith, railway station, tent boarding houses, butcher shop, bakery and two vegetable gardens.

Eromanga

Famous for being Australia's furthest town from the ocean, Eromanga is located 108 kilometres west of Quilpie on a fully sealed road. Sustained by surrounding pastoral properties, some of which are over 8,000 square kilometres, Eromanga is also home to the Eromanga Oil and Gas Basin, which produces around one and a half million barrels of oil each year.

Thallon

Thallon, Balonne Area
South from Nindigully, in the town of Thallon, giant painted grain silos act as landmarks for the town. Thallon was gazetted in 1911 and was named after the Commissioner of Railways, Mr JF Thallon. The town is surrounded by prime grain growing country and draws grain in from Weengallon, Nindigully, Mungindi, Dirranbandi and Thallon.

The Caiwarra - Paroo River Fishing Spot is located in the Currawinya National Park. You can expect to be able to catch yellowbelly and catfish in this waterhole. Activities available in the area include fishing, camping (fee applies), birdwatching and bushwalking.

The soil gets redder as you approach this great little western town, and sitting on the banks of the peaceful Wallam Creek is the tranquil town of Bollon. At the free caravan and camping area there are plenty of shady spaces to park the van for a few days on the edge of the picturesque creak, and an easy 1.

In 1859 on the mail route from Brisbane to Charleville, a small area was taken from the property Victoria Downs and set aside for public use and designated on maps and documents as 'Victoria Downs Reserve'.

Hell Hole Gorge National Park

Hell Hole Gorge is part of the Powell plateau which forms part of the Grey Range. The deeply incised Powell Creek with steep, dissected escarpments and vertical cliffs up to 45 metres high drains through the centre of the area along with the smaller Spencers and Gorge Creek.
