Surfers Paradise will go off with a bang this New Year’s Eve, as the renowned holiday playground gets set to host a colourful carnival of rides and attractions for all ages, as the fun-filled New Year’s Carnival culminating in three spectacular fireworks displays on December 31, lighting up the skies across over the ocean in the New Year.

The New Year’s Carnival will see thousands of families and visitors converge at the iconic foreshore from Wednesday 27 December to Monday, 1 January. From 3pm to 9pm, the foreshore will become a kaleidoscope of frivolity with thrilling rides and fun activities for children of all ages, including bungee trampolines, a climbing wall and interactive play zone.

The fireworks finale on New Year’s Eve is renowned as one of Queensland’s best displays of cutting-edge pyrotechnic magic, with three separate shows igniting the beach and riverside precinct.

Young families can share the momentous occasion the golden sands of Surfers Paradise beach for the first fireworks show at 8pm, with another offshore extravaganza lighting up the seas on the stroke of midnight. The celebration will also extend throughout the precinct, with Surfers Paradise Riverside hosting a choreographed fireworks display over Nerang River at 10pm.
