Live At The Lodge

Fortitude Valley, Brisbane Area

26 July 2018 -

Free Entry

The 9th instalment of Valley Heat Records' Live At The Lodge series features the haunting 80s new wave stylings of Elder, the surf-tinged 60s rock of Hugo Stranger and Supermystic's 70s psych folk worship. Free entry from 7pm.

Formed in early 2018, Elder is an indie rock band hailing from north Brisbane, consisting of Mat Burton (vocals and guitar), Thomas White (bass) and Talia Bond (drums). Being described as a mix of 80s new wave in a modern haunted house, their refreshing and unique sound has captivated audiences and resulted increasing recognition in the Brisbane music scene.

Hugo Stranger’s creation came from an epiphany after writing the bass line for the song “Dark Places”. A surf rock, pop styled song that would be the stylistic foundation of a bedroom recorded seven track EP. They are now playing shows around Brisbane and getting ready to record in 2018.

Supermystic is an alternative rock band from Brisbane looking to make an impact! Check out their debut EP "Foredays" now!
