CraftAlive, Australia’s largest regional craft shows is in Logan for three big days.

Featuring both local and interstate craft experts, the show is packed full of the latest craft supplies and trends. Get hands on with workshops and make-and-takes or simply pick the brains the world class exhibitors.

A weekend dedicated to craft including paper craft, needle work, patchwork, stamping, scrap booking, quilting, jewellery, food and wine.

Situated off the road to Bargara is the low-lying volcanic remnant known as "The Hummock" which, although only 96 metres above sea-level, offers visitors good views over the whole area. The ocean is visible to the east while, to the west, the sugar fields can be seen encircling the city with the smoke stacks of the Bundaberg Distillery and Mill on the horizon.

You may be mistaken for thinking you have flown into a tropical paradise upon arrival at Bargara. Palm trees line the foreshore, the Southern Great Barrier Reef stretches out before you, and the climate is just like Hawaii - it's time to kick back and relax.

Coonarr

Coonarr Beach is a 4.2 kilometre long, east facing beach that begins amongst the tidal shoals of the Elliott River mouth, then runs straight down to the smaller mouth of Coonarr Creek. There is a gravel road out to the small beachfront settlement of Coonarr, located toward the southern end of the beach.

Mon Repos Conservation Park

Your first stop should be at the Mon Repos Turtle Centre. Find out all there is to know about the marine turtles and the park and, if it’s turtle season, book yourself in to join the Park Rangers on a night-time Turtle Encounter tour.

Mon Repos is home to Australia's largest concentration of nesting sea turtles. Mon Repos caters for everyone from young families to the grey nomads. You will find historical, environmental and leisure activities at Mon Repos.

Kinkuna Section

Kinkuna section of Burrum Coast National Park preserves a wilderness area of coastal vegetation and wide, unspoilt beaches, just 30 kilometres south of Bundaberg. The Burrum Coast National Park which also incorporates both Woodgate and Burrum River sections is part of the Great Sandy Region, of which Fraser Island is best known.

If you didn't know what the fuss was about, you would think Mon Repos is just another beautiful beach in the Bundaberg region, but nestled in the dunes this beach marks a very special, ancient ritual for the oceans most wise mariners.

South Head Parklands and Playground, Burnett Heads

Located on the waterfront at the gorgeous Burnett Heads, this beautiful park offers plenty of space to run and play. For the kids there is a large climbing frame and a smaller playground. For the adults, sit back and enjoy the view of the pristine blue water whilst watching the kids play in the great outdoors.

Cochrane Artificial Reef Dive Site

The Cochrane Artificial Reef in the Woongarra Marine Park, is like something straight out of a movie. Just a short boat trip from shore, you'll find the impressive 50 metre ‘Ceratodus II’ and the 40 metre long 'Porteur' surrounded by two Mohawk aircraft and a Kingair aircraft, two lightships, and a criss-cross of concrete modules, pipes and other structures all taken over by coral and sea life.
