The team at Adventurethon Australia are super excited to bring Townsville Adventurethon Demolish on July 14 and 15, 2018

Adventurethon Townsville is a multi-sport event incorporating four stage; mountain bike, paddle, trail run and sprint featuring all three. The recently created Demolish format offers athletes the opportunity to participate in one, two or all three legs, with each leg being a stand alone race. This event offers different distances over the race weekend, giving opportunity to all athletes no matter the skill level. Sunday will include Sprint, Taste and Junior events.

Townsville offers world class trails at Cape Pallarender, this new exciting format is a great shape up to the racing community, giving athletes time to freshen up between legs, recover and achieve personal best efforts. It also provides the opportunity to tackle longer distances they wouldn't normally do. Who can forget the added feature of an abseil to the trail run!

Any Adventurethon challenge can be done as an individual, tag team or side by side team to gain a different experience for the day. They want you to step out of your comfort zone and try something new!

Tully Falls and Tully Gorge

Located south-west of Ingham, Mount Fox was created by a violent volcanic explosion about 100000 years ago. In the explosion, a lava flow 10 metres thick spewed from the southern end of the crater and chunks of molten magma were thrown out of the volcano's vent.
