Cape Hillsborough National Park is one of the most striking and peaceful places on the Central Queensland coast. The Yuibera Aboriginal people were a part of this country for thousands of years before explorer James Cook named Cape Hillsborough in 1770. Visit The Diversity boardwalk and Yuibera plant trail to fully appreciate the Yuibera's connection to this country, and their traditional way of life.

Charlie's Hill

Constructed by the RAAF in 1943, the No 211 Radar Station on Charlie’s Hill was one of twenty radar installations along the North Queensland coastline. These operated to give an early warning of approaching enemy aircraft during World War II.
