Solnamara Beachfront Apartments is directly located on the Esplanade of Burleigh Heads, and straight across the road from the beach. The complex comprises modern two and three bedroom apartments, which all have their own ocean views.

The large apartments are spacious and fully self-contained. Every apartment has a full sized kitchen, private balcony, laundry and a large living and dining area. All apartments have an ensuite and main bathroom. Every apartment has Foxtel and, free WiFi and guests can enjoy our heated saltwater swimming pool all year round.

The beach is only a few steps away and also opposite the apartments is a children's fully enclosed playground. You can walk along the beach to the protected National Park which offers stunning views and wildlife. Alternatively, you can do great shopping or enjoy a good night out in trendy Burleigh Heads with its excellent restaurants, bars and cultural events. All within walking distance.

The Gold Coast Airport at Coolangatta is only 15 minutes away. Solnamara is a good base to explore the Gold Coast from because of its central location.

With a population of less than 250, Morven is thought to be named after a mountain and town of the same name in Scotland. Captain T.J. Saddlier and his wife arrived in the area in the 1860s and camped on a deep waterhole of nearby Hamburg Creek.

Mungallala

Mungallala, said to mean 'food and water' is the site of a cypress sawmill, located about half way between Mitchell and Morven where the Warrego Highway crosses the Mungallala Creek. Mungallala originated as a railway town and is a wonderful place to stop for lunch and experience the workings of an outback town.

In 1859 on the mail route from Brisbane to Charleville, a small area was taken from the property Victoria Downs and set aside for public use and designated on maps and documents as 'Victoria Downs Reserve'.

Amby

Amby, Maranoa Area
Amby, originally called Amby Creek, became a township in 1883 and forms part of the eastern boundary of the Outback region. It can best be described as where the grain and the grazing belts meet. The Old Stage Changeover Shanty - known to the locals as Netting Hole - dates back to 1875 and is located on the northern side of town, along the Warrego Highway near Amby Downs waterhole.
