Located on the doorstep to Carnarvon Gorge, a luscious oasis hidden in the rugged ranges of The Great Dividing Range. The white sandstone cliff faces form a spectacular gorge with interesting and ever changing side gorges, each with their own story to tell. The cultural and natural heritage that Carnarvon Gorge offers is second to none.

Only a days drive from just about anywhere in Southern Queensland we border two of the most iconic destinations in Queensland, the Southern Great Barrier Reef and the Outback.

They are located 250 kilometres from Roma and Emerald, 400 kilometres from Rockhampton and 800 kilometres from Brisbane. Both Roma and Emerald have airports. The scenic drive into Carnarvon Gorge is sealed.

Sandstone Park is open seasonally from Easter to September School Holidays.

Guesthouse

This is your home away from home, with all the comforts required for a fantastic holiday, our guesthouse has been exquisitely interior decorated with only the finest of homewares selected. Overlooking Carnarvon Gorge sit back with a wine in hand over your beautiful firepit. You have the views all to yourself with your very exclusive vantage point with not even one other house in sight. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, laundry, air conditioning, wifi, playground, established gardens with fruit trees we have not left any comforts of a station stay behind, you even have your own chickens! Whether you be looking for a girls weekend, a family reunion or just a couple of nights away, this house has endless opportunities. The station owners wanted a place for guests to feel spoilt yet comfortable to relax and enjoy all that Carnarvon Gorge has to offer.

Campsite

With 360 degree views from every campsite, private fire pits and each site approx 700m2 in size, you will be sure to relax and enjoy your camping experience with us. All sites are drive through. Located only 5 km from the Carnarvon Gorge walks. Plenty of space for your friend to pull up alongside you as we can have up to three caravans/campers per site with still plenty of room. We have a dump point and reportedly the best portaloo toilets in Australia. Feel like you are on top of the world with your million dollar views. Suitable for tent campers, caravans, motorhomes.

Main Beach, North Stradbroke Island

Main Beach offers 32 kilometres of unspoilt sand, dunes and surf. It is popular with boardriders and bodysurfers who enjoy big swells. The waves are large and powerful and the views are spectacular. The headland is the best vantage point for watching the surfing action and spotting whales and dolphins.

Boat Rock Dive Site

North Stradbroke Island,
Boat Rock is an action packed dive site located off Brisbane’s North Stradbroke Island. While always a sensational dive, it is the least dive site in the area as it is generally washed by strong currents, is a tricky spot to anchor and is a site best suited to experienced divers.

Amity Point Dive Site

North Stradbroke Island, Redland City Area
Amity Point is Brisbane’s most popular shore diving destination, but technically you still need to board a boat at some time to reach it. Located on the northwest tip of North Stradbroke Island, inside Moreton Bay, Amity Point has a rocky reef where numerous car bodies have been dumped.

Shag Rock Dive Site

Shag Rock is located off Brisbane’s North Stradbroke Island and is one of those all-weather sites that is very under-appreciated at times. Surrounding Shag Rock are rocky reefs and coral gardens in depths from six to 20 metres.

Karragarra Island

Karragarra is a great day-trip destination and is the smallest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, about half a kilometre wide and four kilometres long. The experience starts with a short water taxi ride from Redland Bay.

Point Lookout is on the north-east point of North Stradbroke Island and is the island's social hub. There is a great vibe and atmosphere along the strip of restaurants and cafes with some of the best views in the world!

Macleay Island

With an emerging arts culture, Macleay Island has a range of art to explore within the Macleay Island Arts Complex Inc. There are several beaches for swimming and fishing, with barbecue facilities in the foreshore parks.

Middle Reef Dive Site

North Stradbroke Island,
Located halfway between two of North Stradbroke Island’s most popular dive sites, Shag Rock and Flat Rock, is large rocky ridge known as Middle Reef. There are a number of dive sites at Middle Reef, in depths from 12 metres to 33 metres, where divers can explore ledges, caves and rocky walls.

Lamb Island

Get away from it all and rest in the peaceful and tranquil waters of Moreton Bay. Lamb Island was known by the Aboriginal people of Moreton Bay as Nguderoo, or paperbark trees. It is the second smallest of the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, is easily navigable, has a general store, recreation club and a swimming enclosure for cooling off in the bay waters.
