Kingfisher Bay Resort is located north of the Sunshine Coast and is the gateway to the World Heritage wilderness of Fraser Island, its ancient rainforest, spectacular fresh-water lakes and famous 75-Mile Beach. The resort nestles among tree-covered dunes on the edge of the calm waters of the Great Sandy Strait and is a paradise for boating, fishing, swimming, bush walking, four-wheel driving and just enjoying the magnificent, natural beauty of this island.

At Kingfisher Bay you can do as much or as little as you want - relax with a cocktail by one of the four swimming pools, play tennis, simply bubble in a spa, indulge at the natural therapy and beauty clinic or just go fishing and get chef to cook your catch. Enjoy Australian bush foods and wonderful fresh seafood at any of the three restaurants.

Junior Eco Ranger program for kids includes art, walks, orienteering, rope courses and canoeing, spotlighting for animals, stargazing and campfires with damper making, story telling and sing-a longs. Baby-sitting is also available.

Spoiling family and friends with a Fraser trip is a breeze in their self-contained Villa accommodation. These two bedroom bush hideaways combine the intimacy of island living with 'room to move'.

Enjoy the time with family and friends in the resort’s Villa-style hideaways, nestled discreetly in the treetops. After a lazy day visiting lakes and lagoons, you can slip into your own spa bath as the sun goes down, or escape to your own private corner of the villa with a book and a smile.

2 Bedroom Spa Villa - Spa on Deck

What better way to relax after a day of 4WD-ing and adventure that in a hot spa on the deck of your villa? They invite you to kick back, relax with a cold drink, listen to Fraser Island's fabulous birdlife and enjoy the bushland views from our wide covered decks.

Ideal for a family of four, the villa has a spacious lounge, dining and kitchen area with all the comforts of home. The bedrooms are downstairs in the split level design... leaving the upstairs living area for the everyday business of holidaying.

3 Bedroom Spa Villa - Spa on Deck

Triple the Fraser fun with a three-bedroom Pandanus Villa in the treetops. What better way to end a hard day's exploring, than with all the creature comforts including private deck and two spacious double rooms.

Keep your eyes peeled as daylight fades on another Fraser day, as local wildlife comes out to play, or guess, what colour the sunset will be from the comfort of your deck. Enjoy a home-made breakfast with the birds from your own private veranda whilst planning the day's adventure.

Their one bedroom loft style villas are surrounded by native bushland with easy access to resort facilities. They're great for couples that want that extra space and privacy that comes with being nestled in the treetops or for families with young adventurers who can navigate to the loft twin bedroom (The loft bedroom is recommended for children from nine to 14 years that can safely negotiate a steep loft staircase).

Enjoy a home-made breakfast on the deck or after a day exploring, enjoy the bush views with a long cold drink.

Resort Hotel Standard Room

2 Bedroom Loft Villa

Nestled in a natural bush and sand amphitheatre, all of their Two Bedroom Loft Villas feature a split level design with plenty of space for the extended family. These villas feature a master bedroom, twin bedroom and a loft third bedroom - allowing each family member their own space on your holiday.

The loft bedroom is recommended for children only from six to 14 years that can safely negotiate a steep loft staircase. Once in their own space, the kids will love sleeping under the sloping roof - they call it camping inside out.
