The "Food, Wine and Rainforest Tour" is a leisurely "Paddock to Plate" experience, travelling off the beaten path, onto farms and behind the scenes to hear the stories behind regional foods, and savour their flavours.
On the Atherton Tablelands you will explore two parts of the "World Heritage Wet Tropics", visiting both Rainforest and the Dry Outback Savannah.
There is plenty of time to excite your taste buds, during visits to a tropical fruit winery, cheese and chocolate factory, coffee plantation, and macadamia plantation.
Sights include Wet Tropics World Heritage Rainforest, the Curtain Fig Tree, The Twin Kauri Pines, Lake Barrine, historic townships, red soil plains, and rolling hills, as well as World Heritage Dry Tropics which is rarely visited by other tours.
Experienced and knowledgeable driver/guides provide a comprehensive tour narration throughout the day. Be entertained as you learn about the amazing Atherton Tablelands, its history, points of interest and the other foods it produces.
