Coral Sea Kayaking, based in Mission Beach, offer trips paddling to many stunning rainforest clad National Park Islands within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Half day and one day trips visit Dunk Island or paddle along the tropical coastline.

Extended trips of three, five and seven days, include camping and paddling through uninhabited islands, such as World Heritage Listed Hinchinbrook Island, the Family and Barnard Islands. Their qualified, friendly guides have a wealth of knowledge regarding the local history, the island and reef ecology and they take pride in offering ecologically sound trips.

Coral Sea Kayaking's small group trips offer an active and eco-friendly way to explore and appreciate these areas of great natural beauty, with opportunities to also enjoy snorkeling and interpretive island rainforest walks. More than 12 years experience of leading sea kayaking trips throughout these islands means they have an impressive understanding of the local environment.

Hinchinbrook and Family Islands (Seven Days)

This seven day sea kayaking trip includes the five-day Hinchinbrook Island Itinerary, plus more time to explore the islands and beaches. Paddle on northwards to the smaller Family Islands. The waters which surround Hinchinbrook and the Family Islands are part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, world renowned for its abundant marine life offering a chance to view many marine creatures including turtles and hopefully dugongs whilst on the water. This trip is a wilderness adventure that will be forever remembered as a truly special place and our small groups and excellent guides will ensure you are well cared for.

Explore Dunk Island by sea kayak, away from the noise and bustle of motors. View the rainforest-clad islands as you paddle across to Dunk Island. Exploring the shallow waters and fringing reef, you may see turtles and rays swim past. Relax on the beach, swim in the warm tropical waters or try snorkelling. After a luscious picnic lunch, you may enjoy a rainforest walk and learn about the Island ecology and its Aboriginal past. Return to the kayaks for the afternoon paddle to further explore the nearby Islands and back to the mainland.

Three days spent exploring, paddling and camping on uninhabited tropical islands, peace and tranquillity of secluded beaches. Marine life abounds in these waters with dugongs, turtles and many tropical fish. The small group will paddle approximately two to three hours a day in double sea kayaks, leaving time to explore the islands, snorkel over the fringing reef or chill out and relax on beautiful beaches. Their guides have a wealth of knowledge about the local ecology and cultural history of this unspoilt region. In the evenings enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset before tucking into a delicious hearty dinner under a canopy of stars.

Castaways Beach

You’ll find delightful Castaways Beach nestled between Sunrise and Peregian Beach, just 30 minutes from the Sunshine Coast airport. Relaxed, local vibe. Castaways has a stack of picturesque walking trails and is home to a koalas and kangaroos and the surf break is favoured by local surfers for its easy access and consistent, good quality waves.

Marcus Beach

Noosa’s eastern beaches, while not patrolled by surf life savers, are popular with locals and visitors alike for a more relaxed beach experience. These great beaches are found between Sunshine and Peregian Beaches.

Alexandria Bay

You’ll find this dramatic sweep of golden sand and sparkling surf between Hells Gates and Devils Kitchen in Noosa National Park. It’s a three kilometre scenic hike to reach “A-Bay” (as the locals call it) and the beach’s isolation made it (until recently) a hotspot for those who enjoyed getting back to nature wearing nothing more than sunscreen.

Sunshine Reef

Sunshine Coast Area
Sunshine Reef is a wonderful dive site off Sunshine Beach, just south of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. This rocky reef is deeper than other reefs in the Noosa area, so more suited to experienced divers, as depths vary from 25 metres to 33 metres.

Peregian Beach

Peregian Beach, Noosa Area
About 13 kilometres south of Noosa Heads, Peregian Beach is one of a string of lovely beaches between Noosa and Coolum. Just over the sand hills at the southern end of the beach you'll find Peregian Environmental Park, an area of wallum heath which bursts into a colourful profusion of wildflowers in spring.

Noosaville is a lively centre for holiday accommodation, aquatic activities, bars and restaurants and is located around the sparkling waters of the Noosa River.
