Big Mama Sailing is owned and operated by a small family (Stu, Lisa, Fletcher and boat dog Coco). They offer a personalised and memorable sailing experience.

They are based in Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island but are happy to pick up and drop off at Breakwater Marina, Townsville for private and large group bookings. Bring your own alcohol is welcome.

Big Mama is a beautiful and well maintained Adams Ketch. They live on board, so they are welcoming you into their home. Big Mama has plenty of deck space to relax in a bean bag, read a book in the comfortable inside saloon or join in the fun and action of sailing. All meals and food are freshly prepared on board and are delicious, wholesome and plentiful.

Adventure Island Sail

Circumnavigate Magnetic Island.
Full day on the water. Small personalised groups of 12 and three crew. Explore, snorkel, relax and sail beautiful Magnetic Island.

Morning tea is supplied( freshly homemade scones with jam/cream, tea and coffee). Barbecue lunch- chicken and beef skewers, Fresh Fish parcels, Garden Salad, Coleslaw, Potato Salad and fresh crusty bread.

Afternoon Tea- Fresh Fruit platter, Anzac biscuits, tea and coffee. They supply icy cold water, snorkel gear, UV/wetsuits and Environmental Tax is included.

An opportunity to get your feet sandy, explore an beach and bay only accessible by boat, relax and have a swim or snorkel. Boom netting and other water activities like paddle boards and kayaks are available!

Departure Time- 9am from Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island.
Return Time- 4.30pm.

There are no hidden costs.

Sunset Sail

A relaxing two hour sailing experience with small personalised groups of 12 MAX. Complimentary sparkling wine(or two) or a non alcoholic beverage on arrival and delicious antipasto platters on sunset. Private charters available. Bring your own is welcome.

Half Day Adventure Island Sail

Explore Magnetic Island. They depart at 9am and return around 1pm. They supply morning tea and a barbecue lunch.

Water activities like sailing, snorkelling, boom netting, paddle boarding and kayaking included.

Situated off the road to Bargara is the low-lying volcanic remnant known as "The Hummock" which, although only 96 metres above sea-level, offers visitors good views over the whole area. The ocean is visible to the east while, to the west, the sugar fields can be seen encircling the city with the smoke stacks of the Bundaberg Distillery and Mill on the horizon.

Coral Cove

Enjoy beautiful views of the Coral Sea. Spend quiet days fishing for tailor, diving coral reefs or taking up the challenge of an 18-hole golf course at Coral Cove. At the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef, just 20 minutes from Bundaberg and a short drive from Bargara the Coral Cove community is friendly and relaxed.

Coonarr

Coonarr Beach is a 4.2 kilometre long, east facing beach that begins amongst the tidal shoals of the Elliott River mouth, then runs straight down to the smaller mouth of Coonarr Creek. There is a gravel road out to the small beachfront settlement of Coonarr, located toward the southern end of the beach.

Hoffman's Rocks Dive Site

Hoffman’s Rocks is a colourful underwater playground just south of Bargara in the Woongarra Marine Park. The area is covered in hard and soft corals including gorgonian sea fans and pretty soft corals, and home to resting turtles, stingrays, gropers and wobbegong sharks.
